Wladimir Klitschko V David Haye - Prediction Wladimir Klitschko TKO11 Well, the biggest heavyweight clash since Lennox Lewis destroyed a well past it Mike Tyson is upon us. The difference being with this fight is that you both men are at/or a close to their peak when going head to head. Since a few blips in his record, Wlad has been dominant in the division since 2004 and has barely lost a round for several years now. Having, alongside his brother cleaned out the heavyweight division the thirst for the David Haye clash as the most meaningful fight has lingered since 2008 and boy have they milked it. David Haye has more to prove in this fight, his heavyweight resume to date is nothing impressive, his best win the division a cautious mixed decision win over giant Nikolay Valuez. That being said, Haye has a lot of attributes that could cause trouble for Wlad. He is very fast, especially in a division that is currently stacked with overweight plodders, he packs power in his punches and is mobile enough to use the ring to his advantage, rather than walk straight into the jab. I see Haye's best chance of victory is to stay on the move and picking his spots to catch Wlad with vicious flurries breaking him down and then looking for the big winning shots in mid-late rounds. Wlad will do what he always does, box behind a solid jab, follow up with big straight rights, lean on his opponent, break him down and look for a late KO/TKO. He's done this for years so I don't expect him to change his style because he's fighting David Haye. History also tells us that either man come out swinging and look for an early KO. Both have suspect chins and it could easily happen but I can't see either boxer taking the risk of getting caught themselves in applying this tactic. I suspect that Haye will try to use the tactic above but I gotta feeling that as soon as he feels Wlad's power that he will be less willing to go on the attack and will try to potshot his way to victory. Considering this Im going for Wlad to break him down and TKO him in the late rounds or decision him in the same way most of his fights have gone.
Still owe me $10 from Alvarez-Rhodes bet (I think it's taking too long) This content is protected on Klitschko
