Kirk, and everyone that participates here - I want to ask that since I'm the only mofo on here that picked Rodriguez over Wolak by SD, and it was a majority draw, with rod having one judge score in his favor, can I get a it counted as a win for it being semi in rodriguez's favor? :yep
Weigh in that happened about 6 hours ago or so! Miranda-111.6 Viloria- 111.6 Julio Cesar Miranda finally made the flyweight limit, scaling 111.6 pounds, after sweating off two pounds in two hours. Brian Viloria easily made the weight on his first try, checking in at 111.6. "The kid (Miranda) really drained himself," said Viloria's manager Gary Gittelsohn. "I can't believe a champion shows up at the weigh-in two pounds over." Challenger Brian (The Hawaiian Punch) Viloria said yesterday hes not worried about WBO flyweight champion Julio Cesar Mirandas vaunted power because the Mexican cant knock out what he cant hit. Im very confident, said Viloria, seeking to become the sixth Filipino ever to win world titles in at least two weight divisions after Dodie Boy Penalosa, Luisito Espinosa, Gerry Penalosa, Nonito Donaire and Manny Pacquiao. I feel great. Im on weight. I dont think theres anything Miranda will bring to the table that I dont already know. Im ready to do what it takes to win. Vilorias chief second Ruben Gomez said hes aware of how hard Miranda hits. The Mexican has scored 28 knockouts in 35 wins, an 80 percent rate. Its going to be a tough fight, said Gomez. Mirandas powerful. Hes a volume puncher wholl come in and try to take you out. He wont mind taking a shot to give one back. But he doesnt have the best of chins. I think weve got our work cut out for us. Gomez said Viloria wont rush things. Brian will be patient, he went on. Hell bank rounds. Hes got to fight smart. If the opportunity to knock out Miranda comes, Brian will take it. Were aware of Mirandas knockout percentage and Brian wont get careless. Brian will try to win every round. Hell work the body and wear Miranda out. Its a must win for Brian. If he loses, I think his boxing career is over.
You know, I was curious as to why the Roman Gonzalez-Omar Salido fight wasn't on the schedule, but I went over to recheck the schedule, and it is scheduled. The date is wrong it has it for next week, when it's actually this week. The fight will be on the Marquez undercard which is T-Minus oh, about 15 hours from now or so give or take. Um, so, I guess the fight will still count? I've got Roman Gonzalez by KO.
Wow, thanks for noticing man :good Don't know if it counts then but... 07/23 (07/16) - Roman Gonzalez vs. Omar Salado "El Chocolatito" Gonzalez by TKO
Damn tackle the jail rat makes a successful defence. Perez lost the decision. He's reminding me of like a crook who gets sent down but still tries organising his business over the phone. Been a lot of dodgey politics with this people's championship!
Were you surprised Magdaleno won? sssstttt... keep quiet, or you will be "sleeping with the fishes" in no time :nono
I make every pick with the intention of winning so when one falls through, especially one that would crown my uncrowned head, I die a little inside :-( Haha well it's a good job I can swim and I like to eat fish
