Congrats Tackle!!!!

Tackle has put on a dominant display down the stretch of the year, going toe to toe with BigBone who was pushing Tackle to the limit, and just when he is the one left standing between those two for the top spot, out comes Freddy seemingly out of nowhere to give one last scare to Tackles reign

But he wouldnt be denied and has went home with the crown.

On another note, for the newer members who dont know, Tackle is the one who puts together our banners for the league, and sometimes does his own fight posters for our featured fights... he picks up the slack (along with robney and a few others I am in dept to :yep) when I fall behind and in all has put in quite a bit of work into the league and its greatly appreciated.

So Tackle, let me know what image you want me to use for a little profile of you that I am going to have in next years thread (which... Im starting tonight )

Again, thank you for all the work you do in the league, and great great job at taking the title for the year. It is a legit challenge to beat out these top guys throughout the entire year to remain at the top when its all said and done.

Great job Tackle.

 

At the end of 2010, I was hoping we could match, and hopefully slightly outdo that year in 2011....

We didnt just slightly outdo 2010, we blew it away.....

posts for 2010 - 5,255
posts for 2011 - 12,473

to give a good example of how awesome this year was.... we had about as many posts this year, as we had in 2008, 2009 and 2010 COMBINED.... (2006 was before the crash so not sure of its stats)


on top of that, it became the third most viewed thread all time in the general forum.....

But this year was great because you all made it great.

We had all the classic members, the members who have been here for quite some time and who without them this league simply wouldnt be the same (and in truth, maybe wouldnt have made it the year)

And along with our classic regulars, this year had an influx of some great newcomers who mesh perfectly with the league and I hope remain fixtures for years to come. You all know who you are and youve made the league a pleasure to come to.

In truth, if it wasnt for its great members the league has been lucky enough to attract, I would have stopped doing it this year.... but you all keep me motivated to keep going (and of course my love of boxing)

So I just wanted to say a big thank you to all of our members, from the classics to the newer faces... I hope to see you all in 2012's competition and to continue this great love/hate relationship with the greatest sport on earth... BOXING.
