What Kirkland did was pretty amazing... He went down to Mexico and took on Angulo. Something supposedly greater fighters wouldn't do... :think It was a great fight. The first round was crazy. I hope nothing but the best for Kirkland. :good

    :good

I don't remember any American fighter of late doing anything similar. Do you??? I remember Calvin Grove going into the lions den to take on Paez, which I thought was brave on it's own, but he didn't have the power to hurt Paez.

I hope Kirkland continued success. :smoke

Really, I'm not a shortsighted person and think that losses define a boxer. Especially, the back story that surrounded Kirkland. It's obvious that having the right people in your corner counts. As far as Ishida...:think hmmm do you think he wants another piece of Kirkland??? :smoke

    Agreed.

Took on a favored fighter in their back yard on their terms and came up the winner. How anyone can knock that or prefer to nit pick on details rather than to give the man his props is beyond me.

I agree gutsy move by Kirkland going to Mexico taking on a warrior like angulo.

Good fight, and surprisingly, James showed a world class chin.

    :thumbsup

Yeah, one of the announcers pulled the score cards and said the judges had it closer than it really was... If it did go the distance he might have gotten robbed.

It's also was obvious that Angulo was full of himself... :smoke
