well i would suggest getting some more facts to back that up...the kj fight didn't show he was over the hill..maybe a bit past it but not over the hill
Funny most people pick Vitali. Based on the preception of Wlads weak chin. I dont subscribe to that thought and think he has proven (Peter's X3 and got up) that it isnt true. Based on that Wlad can box circles around his brother and also hits harder.
Seeing as Vitali is bigger and has a MUCH better chin, I give it to him. His strength and size advantage would be a big point for Vitali, but the chin would be even more important.
I actually would pick Wlad if they fought today. I think he has improved enough to eek out a decision. A few years ago I don't think he would make it 8 rounds with his brother though. It would depend on how composed he would stay when Vitali hurt him and he would get hurt.
Vitali off course, unlike Wlad he has a chin and has shown that he can hold his own in a war. When Wlad is in with someone the size of his own, he is not the dominating jabbing force, just look at the Thompson fight. And Vitali is more mobile and tougher than Thompson.
Prime for prime - Vitali: chin, toughness, reflexes. PS. Does he really have worse skills? I would say it's more like he just fights diferrently. Relaxed, basing on reflexes a lot. Like running circles around Peter or Arreola. But is it worse?
Wlad has improved a lot under steward and has been able to keep smaller fighters at bay but could he do the same to a fighter as big and as durable as Vitali? We all know that if you can get in close and rough Wlad up he can be made to look bad and can be knocked out. I see Wlad doing well early with his advantages in speed and mobility but after a few rounds Vitali starts connecting and stops him in the middle rounds.
