Tyson resume from Nov 86-June 1991: Here's my predictions:

    Berbick: Both late.

Smith: I think wlad could lose this one if smith lands on of his bombs. fancy wlad in a stinker. Vitali v smith would be a classic shootout with ended by vitali in five rounds

Thomas: The best Thomas outboxes both but gets ko'd late

Tucker: I see both winning on points in a very hard fight

Biggs: Biggs wins early rounds but fades mid rounds. mid round ko for both

Holmes: Holmes gives them both a hell of fight but loses close decision.

Biggs: Mid / late round ko for both

Spinks: Mid - late rounds kos for both

Bruno: Bruno gives vitali trouble early like he did lennox lewis but fades around round 8-9 and gets caught with a bomb. Wlad cautiously outboxes him and wins late

Williams: late round stoppage for both. williams was a good boxer and quick

Douglas: The Douglas of the tyson fight wins a close one over vitali but loses a close one wlad

tillman: early nigh for both. not as spectacular as tyson. 4-5 rounds

Stewart: stewart was awkard and underatted. late ko

Ruddock: I fancy ruddock pre tyson 1 to land the bomb on wlad and end it early. Vitali v Ruddock would be a war for the ages with vitali winning late or on points

Nice objective posts. I agree with most of them. I don't know about Thomas getting Ko'd late, Pinklon had one of the best chins, but he had skills with it. You also forgot to mention Tony Tubbs, who I think would outbox and win a decision against both Klitchkos.

was thinking About that and forgot about it. its also in wrong order 87/88. holmes was after biggs

If tubbs got his weight down he could of give them nightmares but i see him gassing late on

Thomas when he fought tyson really boxed great for 6-7 rounds. Tyson just exploded with an amazing flurry of punches

Yea but lets not forget Thomas outboxed a prime Tim Witherspoon and Took Weavers best shots, who I think hits harder than Vitiali and on par with Wlad. A prime Tyson was another league with both Klitschko brothers, I don't expect either one to explode and combinations the way Tyson did. As for Tubbs gassing late, he didn't gas late when he outbox a prime Riddick Bowe and he was past his prime in that fight. I just think Tubbs is too quick and too crafty.

Tony Tubbs at an advantage age gave the Klits problems in sparring.

You also forgot Mitch Green and James Quick Tillis. I think Green could give both Klitschko brothers a hard time.

Oh Ok. I only mentioned Green because he was one of the most talented 80's heavy at the time and was one of Tyson's opponents.

I think that they would both strugle with the timetable, and the speed with which Tyson was moved forward.

I would make no assumption that they could handel it, even if I liked their chances against each fighter individualy.

I think it takes a certain fighter to beat vitali, I think a big guy who can throw bombs will always trouble him.

Wlad I think only loses if he gets caught, his fundamentals are brilliant.

I think that the only thing necesary for either of them to loose, would be moving them forward too quickly.

I agree with your picks 100%. I do think the Haye fight, and its result, may either validate or change the Ruddock pick, though.

We havent see how Wlad deals with a big puncher getting a dig in almost 7 years. If things have changed, he beats Ruddock.

I also think you were spot on with the fighters Vitali handles and is troubled by.

I don't think either brother struggles with the Holmes Tyson fought.

    Good stuff.

Some good picks but i can't see Vitali stopping Smith in 5, if at all.
