Since the trio of cuban defectors made their American Debut on Friday Night Fights I have followed Solis and Gamboa ever since. Yahn Barthelemy was decent and a very good amateur, but won't ever be world class. He just doesn't have the power or chin for the elites. Now Odlanier Solis has a fight with Vitali in March, as we all now know. Who hear thinks Solis has A say 50% chance or so or at least a legitimate shot to beat the Elder Klit? Or will he get beat down round after round as did another latino heavyweight with good skill, but a robust body and seeming lack of dedication since becoming a top 10 contender. Thoughts are very welcomed as to how the fight will go/

Solis didn't perform very well against Austin, so I'd say he's significantly less of a threat than Areola was. Against Solis, I think only age could take out Vitali, not Solis' ability

You answered your question. Solis has little chance because of "seeming lack of dedication since becoming a top 10 contender".

At least Klits haters are starting to damean their opponents now before the fight so they don't look as stupid after ...

Instead of giving the Klits credit they atack their opponent
Solis is a good fighter, better than Arreola ,but after he gets his ass handed to him ,he will be another overmatched bum :verysad

same with Haye.. and so on and so fourth..they did the same thing with Lewis when Vitali took it to him.. he was an out of shape past his prime bum.... had nothing to do with the monster in front of him:roll:

Do you think Klit haters also sneak around to Solis house and jam ****ing donuts down his throat while he sleeps?

Vitali took it to Lewis. And lost.

What excuses do people need for the winner of the fight??????

Vitaly is old and way past his prime, however I still think he wins this one easily.

The funny thing is the K's fans think their fighters are invincible, and that is so far from the truth, lets break this down a little bit, VK has step up 3 times in his career, and loss twice, a converter HW Byrd (he was a MW and only fought so high because the money) a part time boxer, full time golfer who imo was a decent fighter, Sanders, and a great over the hill, old and out shape ATG, LL, I'm not counting Gomez because he left his better days at CW. WK, well the younger brother step up against the all time great journeyman Puritty and loss, by ko, the he rebuild his career and step up against Sanders, and he loss, by ko, then he rebuild his career and step up against Brewster and he loss, by "poisson" although Brewster will and punches did a lot of damage, lets b real here, Solis is not in shape to challenge any Champion today, that is why I'm not picking anyone until I c the weight in, but any decent HW with will, CHin and good power will give a lots of problem to VK and probably ko his brother, so lets the hating begins.

So, WK has step up against Puritty but not against Byrd. VK, on the other had, has step up against Byrd but not against Puritty. You gotta get your rankings straight next time before posting. :patsch

Solis has far more talent than Arreola, but is almost as much of a lazy slob (if not equally).

It's not quite as bad as a case of "another Arreola", but it isn't far off.

You got that right. Solis fought at what?... 201, and Arreola 178....now they are 255 (Arreola), and 260, (Solis).

I remember a few (american) people here beïng sure Kevin Johnson would beat (and KO) Vitali, so it's not that strange...

Vitali by T/KO, after giving Odlanier a horrendous beating.

    I second that.

Similar fight to the Gomez fight IMO.

Gomez had over 300 amateur fights for Cuba. He was a former world champion, is 6 feet 4 inches tall, is fast. Gomez is better than Solis. Solis looked awful against Austin, whom Vlad knocked out in the second round using his left only. Vitali will win by knockout!!!!!!!
