It's cool, I was just pointing out the obvious. Vitali's jab is no slouch but I could probably name 5 Heavies with a better jab then Vitali, including his brother I bet he'd agree too.
I agree that The K bros could hang with fellow ATG, but the others couldnt, well coudlnt until they prove otherwise...and thats my point, beyond the K bros, there is nothing! That is really no fault of their own, and I honestly beleive a P4P list that doesnt include one of them is faulty. The klits need an opponent who can open it upto a larger audience and can be a credible opponent and give them a defining fight. Thats why I get annoyed with people discrediting Haye, I beleive he will be Wlads defining fight of fights if it turns out that way.
..................y'know, back when their opponents were undefeated. :deal Seriously, both guys have defeated & KO'd guys that were never beaten or KO'd prior to thier fights against the Klits.
It's highly subjective. Ali, Holmes, Lewis, Liston, and Louis are obvious choices. Wlad has a good jab, but he fights complete stiffs who stand right in front of him flat-footed. How would his jab look against a skilled fighter with good defense? That has yet to be seen.
Their bums regardless. Your telling me Arreola, Valuev, Sam Peter, Oleg Maskeav are good fighters? Top 10 material?
I don't think Davey stands a chance with either Klitschko, for different reasons. Wladimir is a much better boxer, has more power & has more experience fighting period let alone fighting at the weight of HW. Vitali fights a very similar style to Haye's but he does just about everything better & he punches harder. My simple, logical mind just puts 2 & 2 together and I can seriosly see an early KO for either brother.
I think the issue you have is that you could take a guy like Joe Louis, put him in the ring with a Klitschko and either he's going to be able to deal with it and be very competitive, or he's going to be dominated. Guys like Lennox Lewis could compete with Vitali and make it a very close fight. Other guys? Tend to get dominated, solely because that's the nature of fighting a Klitchscko owing to their size and abilities. Being dominated by a Klitschko doesn't make you a bad boxer, styles make fights, you didn't have the style to beat them.
pick any era, and a specific top 10 for any point in time. you can guarantee there will be a few 'bums'. perhaps the best point in time to get a good top 10 of heavyweights might be the mid 90s, but i think valuev in any era would probably make the top 10 by being hard to beat. my point is, you can't exactly define an era by 2 conveniently hand picked fighters you use to back up your point.
Arreola is good..that's the crazy thing about it. Im willing to bet Arreola can probably beat anybody in the heavyweight division not named Vitali/wlad klitschko. I was kind of impressed with how he fights..seems like he would do good against anybody else. I think vitali and wlad being so good is a gift and a curse...it makes people like this guy THINK they are overrated because they make their fights look so easy.
Serena & Venus Williams are amazing tennis players, that isn't really debateable. That's actually a great comparision since both are so dominant at the same time.
Also a good point, that's why it's so relevant that both Klitschkos beat so many fighters who were undefeated, never knocked out or had good records. Especially since so many counties now contribute to the pool of available athletes who compete. I hate that argument that "all the good Heavwieghts are playing Football or Basketball, etc. just utter bull****. Just because a guy can run fast, catch a ball or dunk, doesn't mean they can take hundreds of punches to the face & body in a single fight. :-(
I gave Serena a pass for that incident since that's not the way she usually rollls...............:yep
