Guys the heavies are all bums . . . you have 2 champs that would only top contenders in any other eras and yet the stand head and shoulders over all the others. That being said this match-up is a f'n joke! give Big V and/or Haye some real cash and make the fight. both of these guys bring a lot more excitement to and Klit fight and should be paid for it! BTW did you guys read the press release? it basically says VK has two losses due to injury . . . yeah his face was injured due to Lennox's fist . . . LMFAO!

That's right...the only thing that is different about today's boxing compared to the 90's is that it's missing the "aura" of something special. That is simply perception, not reality. That's my point...Anything can be very special if you believe that it's special. That's the biggest travesty about everything including boxing. People miss out on something special happening because they like to focus on the negative. If you believe that boxing is a dead sport...than it is. I enjoy watching and don't care what herd mentality dishes out. I know what I believe to be true and am very content as a result.

BTW, i am going to see Sam Peter vs Nagy Aguilera...how do you see this fight playing out? I love seeing heavyweights live. Most people who have never seen a fight live don't realize how much fun it is to see heavyweight action. It is like nothing else in boxing. You can hear and feel the thudding power of a fighter like Sam Peter in person. You can't replicate that on TV!!:good

Your a good dude bro, you certainly bring a new outlook to the table with your posts. I don't think boxings dead at all, but it is declining in the states. The thing keeping it up over the last 5 years or so has been DLH, RJJ, Hopkins, Pac, and Mayweather. 3 out of 5 are on their way out or at least should be. As it stands now, I see noone waiting in the wings to replace their star status. Though I do believe Haye can make some waves with his personality and fighting style.

I believe Peter will win by TKO around the 3rd or 4th round. This is clearly a statement fight for him. If he wins this, he's a fight or two away from fighting for another belt. He claims he's going back to his old "Nigerian Nightmare" ways of fighting. We will soon find out.

the Gaylord Texan is a 5 star hotel and resort...the name is oldschool...not very man friendly in today's society though.

Aguilera is a very fast starter and has a very quick and compact left hook. Might give Peter a little trouble early, but I think Peter's experience should get him the victory.

    Can't wait!!:good

2.5Million would of been Valuev's Career high so what the hell is you point exactly he never even made that much as champion,

Toney Really Did you see his last fight? He is even worse then sonowski,

Haye Please he had a chance and decided fo fight the easier fighter as even he acknowledged.

This, I believe, is what the boxing forums are for. Not to tear down or belittle other fight fans for their opinions. People want to feel comfortable about sharing their viewpoints, not inhibited.

I too believe the experience of Sam Peter will get him the victory although I can see him having a little trouble early on. Aguilera is fast and is a very good counterpuncher. As long as Sam continues pumping that telephone pole jab of his, he should be able to eventually impose his will on the younger fighter. Can't wait!!:good

Valuev was going to get 2.5 sooo again how is he going to fight For 1 mil?
Haye haha yeah he showed how much he wanted that fight by already ducking Vitaly right?
Holyfield, Harrison, Toney... I thought he said top 20, not bottom 50.

Peter better watch rabbit punching Aguilera, he will foul back. Thats how he lost one of his fights, his oppenent was low blowing him and Nagy took matters into his own hands and headbutted his oppenent badly.

I think Nagy will make the mistake of going punch for punch with Peter. This would be a dangerous decision to make against a vicious puncher like Peter. I'm telling you this one will provide fireworks and it will show Peter at his best. You picked a good one to go see.:good

I thought he weighed more then 200 LB? Anyway, the same can be said about an early Sonny Liston, Rocky Marciano, and Joe Louis. They are fantastic cruiserweights if you put it like that, because they were knocking out huge guys.
Also, you have to consider that heavyweights back then didn't have the knowledge and technology we have today. All the nutrition plans and protein plans make big heavyweights.
Frazier would be bigger if he fought today. So that's not a fair anology comparing him to a cruiserweight.
Yeah he would. The klits don't like being pressured or fighting on the inside, especially Wlad, he just hates the inside and pressure. Neither Klitschko really takes risk anyways. Frazier would trouble Vitali and hurt him, I can't say he would knock him down though.
    He would smother him.
