Povetkin's work rate alone should be enough to grab a UD.
If wlad fights like he did prior to his two fights vs Sultan and Thompson..Then he has chances to beat Povetkin too...

But in the mean time , i think Povetkin is one of his biggest threat. Povetkin's size is irrelevant. His chin is untested though...So it's hard to tell what it's really worth but he's very endurant and very active. and has great combos. No KO power but he accumulates combos and keeps the same rythm in almost every rounds. That's his advantage.

I think if Haye and povetkin fight it would be a good gauge on who has a chance a beating wlad

I actually think Thompson was a more dangerous opponent than Povetkin because he's an awkward Southpaw and Wlad has trouble with them : Sanders & Ibragimov.

Povetkin is very busy but he's wide open to hit and Klitschkow will probably jab him and counter him all night coming in...

If Povetkin is Wlad's biggest threat, then he has no worries and will coast into retirement. IMO Wlad's biggest threat is any boxer with an excellent chin, good power, and fast hands. Povetkin's style makes him a sitting duck for Wlad.

Povetkin has a spark, something big men often can't provide above that 240 something pounds. Thompson fought well imo.. he just got a bit ground down and couldn't take more pressure late in the fight. Povetkin would be in shape and be a lot more lively.. Wlad has to be better in the stamina stakes to overcome a young gun like Povetkin.. Alex has fair power and some good speed. and is smaller and mobile.. He may do good if his mind is prepared to overcome a few hard rounds..

That too...But stylistically , Povetkin would be more problematic imo. Povetkin is the type of guy who can keep coming at ya even when he looks tired. He has that "Nadalesque will" to win. Unless Wlad is constantly 100% active , Povetkin would grab a UD....Povetkin keeps a constant rythm that's why he's my favorite.

But yes , haye vs povetkin would be great.

I agree. Having followed Povetkin since his amateur days, I think his chin is good enough. He's only been down once, and that was against Islam Timurziev from what I remember, who's an absolutely murderous puncher. But I agree. I heard Wlad looked quite uncomfortable when Thompson was pushing the action and making him fight a fast pace, and that's what Povetkin is all about.

no way. styles make fights and thompson's southpaw winky wright highguard confused wlad for the first 6 rounds. he also proved to have a very good chin. povetkin doesn't have that kind of chin.

povetkin went to the Sam Peter school of defense which teaches u to block punches with your head. Wlad stops Povetkin rounds 5-7.

Peter is still the most dangerous. Power, aggression, chin. Then Valuev. we'll see about haye when he fights some decent guys. other than that, there is nothing competitive at all. wlad's a big favorite against anyone though.

wrong. Though i'm not expecting too much logic from a guy who keeps an avatar of Ted Haggard.

Povetkin will be brutally KOed. He is so wide open.

but anyone with a excellent chin and good power and fast hands has a chance to beat ANYONE IN THE HISTORY OF THE HEAVYS... by a 1 punch KO

Speaking of which , i also think Povetkin would beat Peter. Purely based on his technic and work rate , i also see pov grab a UD. Peter's best chance would be to KO him.

of course , like i say so many times , no one can be totally sure of the outcome...But in terms of endurance , combos , technic , work rate...Povetkin is a monster. His only weakness is his KO power (nothing much in that department)...But he compensates with the combos. And of course , his chin needs to be tested more..

You may disagree with my logic, but I have provided some reasoning for my opinion. Something your response is lacking:patsch
