serious question here im a fan of both mma and boxing! since lesnars fight with carwin iv been thinking that a big good striker would walk through him and obviously hed be taken down pretty easily but with the athletic ability of either klit with a year or 2 training tdd do u think they would stand a good chance of beating brock who is basicly just a wrestler learning mma!
Based on a pretty good sample size, wrestler learning MMA beats Boxer/Kickboxer learning MMA. Especially when wrestler is bigger and has several years headstart.
he would get knocked out before his attempt to score a takedown, first flush punch fom wladimir klitschko and he is cold out
With their stand up skills and some grappling ability then perhaps they could. As soon as they get that big, Brock starts to lose his sensational abilities as shown in the Carwin fight. Brock is a beast but these heavies are getting ****ing big and ****ing athletic - Silva, Overeem, Brock, Carwin, JDS etc
Carwin was a very, very experienced wrestler to go along with his size though. This is getting overlooked for some reason and it's the reason the fight wasn't on the ground from the start. Carwin I think was possibly his hardest fight out there, a damn good wrestler with insanely heavy hands.
I'm a fan of Boxing & MMA myself and I think either Klitschko would take out Brock. Both Klits have kickboxing background, especially Vitali, & both are very accurate punchers. Brock has to be the best grappler at Heavyweight though so he'd still have a chance to get either brother down to the mat where he rules. Still, I think they'd catch Brock with something big when he tries to shoot for that takedown.
I agree. I'll rephrase - as soon as they get big and skilled/elite he will face more trouble. I think alot of people still hold questions over what would have happened had Carwin not gassed.
Wlad got taken down by I believe it was Ibragimov, I doubt he's stopping Brock's. How many first punch, 1 punch KO's happen? How many times does a clinch happen before a punch lands clean? It's a pretty easy job for any HW with decent takedowns.
Like I said, Brock would just fall straight down into a gay ass wrestling position right away like the scared of getting hit guy he is.
