Yeah but watch the 3rd round, Lederman gave that round to Brewster for almost putting Wlad down with one shot. Wlad had too hold on for dear life, just watch it and tell me what you think.

I agree. In crazy land, the more you get KD - so long as you get back up -the better your chin is thought to be.

So I guess, now Peter got KD 3 times against McCline, but got up - that means his chin is BETTER than before he got KD? Right??? Surely???

Call it what you want - chin, balance, endurance, I don't care. Same ****. He falls over when hit hard. And sometimes falls over when barely hit.

Unfortunate, as he's by far the best Heavy in the world right now.

It all depends on the opponent. If the opponent can punch and take a punch it can make for a very uncomfortable situation for Wlad. Just go down the list of heavyweight rankings and pick out the guys that meet that criteria.

One thing I give Wladimir tremendous respect for is getting up after being knocked down. He may not have a great chin but he gets up everytime. He is a man and nobody will convince me otherwise. Alot of people may not be impressed with the Peter victory but Wladimir proved his heart that night. I'm not a fan of Wladimir but I'm no fool either. He's the best in the division and he's got no dog in him. If he gets knocked down he's gonna keep getting up.

I agree, he is the best heavyweight out there. I just have hard time understanding how anybody could rank his chin at average, if going down 12 times and TkOd 3 times is average, the heavyweight division is worse than originally thought.

Yeah, why hasnt Wlad ever been on PPV answer me that? His brother Vitali was popular in the states because he was tougher and knew how to take a punch and give one back, Wlads style is not even exciting anymore.

I think it is. Whether thats because the fighers are worse, or whether its because the same OLD (and I mean literally OLD) fighters get recycled over and over again, I don't know.

I mean, Foreman was an anomoly coming back in his late 30's, early 40's.

That's almost the norm now, because those guys are still good enough to compete at the top level.

And people forget Foreman really did hand pick his opponents in his comeback. The current old men just fight anyone - and they're still good enough.

Excactly, Foreman made his comeback in 87 and didnt get his first title shot until 91 against Holyfield. Foreman then had to fight his way to another title shot 3 and half years later against Moorer.

Foreman had to fight to get a title shot unlike fighters of today who get a title shot every couple fights it seems, fighters like Golota and Holyfield who have been shot for over 10 years keep getting shots. If you think the heavywieght division is great then seriously need glasses, because maybe then you will see how bad the fighters and fights are now adays.

:patsch Come on man ! He lost every fight against top oposition and was gifted 2 title shots ! And the devision isnt weak at all ! In fact take a close look at all the former champs and who they defended against ? The devision is fine and the top dog is top notch !:deal And for the record nobody is winning a title right now at 45 years old and no lightheavy is beating the top dog ! just something to think about !

Thats your opinion, Lederman did give Brewster that round on his scorecard for pretty much that one punch.

The heavywieght division is far from top notch, the only way PPV comes into the picture anymore is when Holyfield fights and hes 45 and close to 15 years out of his prime. People want to see good and exciting fighters, and there not getting that with the crop we have fighting now. The excitement not there in the division anymore and its been gone since the 90s, I could understand why UFC so popular.

:patsch Bad pro motions and no american champ ! the talent is fine and no 180 pounders or ex light heavyweights or LEON SPINKS will win a title any time soon ! the devision is fine weather its not promoted enough or has competion ( UFC ) that it never had before is another thing !

Yeah, but Vitali's not american and he was popular in the states right. Its just a fact the division is not what it used to be, I will watch boxing no matter what but the division lost its average fan to UFC.

Fighters now adays punk out of matches, leaving fans high and dry. You had Chagaev, Vitali, and Maskaev all back out of important matches this year, and its really starting to **** alot of fans off including myself. The heavyweight division needs a Mike Tyson type fighter to clean up this mess we call the heavyweght division, HBO and Showtime dont even want to show important heavyweight matches anymore, that got to tell you something.

:patsch promotion ! And VLAD is very popular ! And if people dont care why in hell are they pissed about postponements ! major contradiction my friend ! And for the record MIKE didnt clean out anything ! he beat a very weak champ to become a champ and lost to another weak champ after a short title stint in a real **** poor devision ! he had a hype machine behind him at the right place and the right time ! there has been no american champ for about ten years and thats the problem ! Cheers !

Your wrong 2 years ago today we had all american champs, Rahman, Ruiz, Bryd, Brewster. The heavyweight division was just as bad as it is today, the only exciting fighter out of the bunch was Brewster and sometimes Rahman. Bryd and Ruiz were constantly getting boed during there fights, and now that there not title holders they were replaced with 2 fighters that back out of fights Maskaev and Chagaev.

We replaced boring fighters as a whole, for fighters that back out of fights constantly. Why didnt they show Bryd/Povetkin on HBO? Its because the majority of average fans can care less about the heavyweight division, fights are not being made and the fans are responding by not watching.
