All we need to know about Solis is his greatest accomplishment was winning Gold in 2004 at 201 lbs. Solis beat Alexeev (the cruiserweight) to win his gold. He was a full grown man; 24 years old.

His lowest weight as a pro has been 246 1/2.

He looks good at this weight but he would be a beast at 230.

Anything over 250 and he loses the speed he would need to compete with a Klitschko.

Here's the thing chopperead a lot of people (probably K2 fans) are on here claiming no one wants to fight Vitali blah blah blah but when there is something to show where someone did want to fight him (and I think that Haye and Valuev both wanted to fight him but a deal could not be reached) then people go into well this guy doesn't deserve it or this guy is fat or anything to insult the other guy..........when the whole point is there is proof that people have tried to fight him.

 

To me David Haye is the most dangerous opponent for the Klitshkos but Briggs might very well be #2.

It has much to do with him being a worthy challenger. A trained Solis would be worth a fight with the Top 10 but not the fat, unmotivated version.

 

Briggs looks pretty ripped with his shirt off for this far out before the fight. I`m liking these 10-1 odds even more.

 

Yeah that true. I'd take it one step farther and say that an in shape and motivated Solis has the POTENTIAL to be the best Heavyweight in the game.

The question is will he go longer than Sosnowski? VK only has a couple UD's.

 

Sosnowski looked like a bodybuilder. If body building made a champion of boxing, then Arnold would have been heavyweight champion a long time ago.

 

To be honest Chef, Sosnowski and Briggs getting shots is the equivalent of them buying a winning lottery ticket.

They've got no reason to argue over anything (nor any bargaining power) as I'm sure it's the biggest payday they can make today by far. In no way known have they worked their way into title contention by their performances in the ring.

Why would they argue over anything?

 

Speaking as an asthma sufferer, I think it was pretty flippant of Vitali and he's someone with the knowledge to really know better about.

However, it's not exactly something worth going into a rage about. Vitali's always tended to try to sell a fight with a little trash talk more than Wladimir does. I think it's that more than medical incompetance.
