Yeah, but if we're not taking actual quality or threat level into account, by metrics of sheer charisma or gift for self promotion, Shannon Briggs ought to be #1 contender. :yep

Wach, like Fury, was a good few grades below the likes of Jennings, Pulev, and especially Povetkin.

You really think the gap is that big between Jennings and Fury, IB?

Wlad might have a better chin than Fury (debatable), but Fury is younger, bigger, and has a longer reach, all of which are great equalizers.

Yes he was, and also Helenius. You know I'd like to see Fury fight one these 2 and see what he's capable of against a B grade fighter of his size, that could show everyone how he could perform against Wlad. Right now there's absolutely nothing that indicates he can beat Wlad even when Wlad is almost 40.

Not only is Jennings is a better overall hustler than Fury, he's an overall more well rounded and complete boxer than Fury.
All Fury has going for him is his size and now that he's a retreating counter puncher everyone thinks he's some kind of master boxer, which he's not, what he does is incredibly easy to pull off if you have a 5 inch height advantage and a 10 inch reach advantage over most of your opponents, its all an illusion, he won't have that luxury against Wladimir.

endurance is key for that fighting style. Fury has very solid stamina.

This should be outdoors in a huge soccer/futbol stadium. Wlad will probably consider going to the U.K. for this one. Better get it made by the end of Septmeber.

Attaboi in here trying wake some of you up. Wlad has one fight that ends up being tougher than expected and people want to claim he's shot. Just months prior, it was a totally different story after he demolished Pulev.

The fact is, he's not shot. He's not done. He is still the most well conditioned and skilled HW in the world and the division's champion. Styles make fights. I don't see Fury winning, but anything is possible.

Fury will act like a POS during the lead up, only further motivating Wlad.

If Fury tries to jab with Wlad, he is eventually going to eat a savage left hook. Wlad has the power in both hands to close this show.

    Yeah, most people did.

I was one of those people who thought Jennings would be KOed by the middle rounds. But he proved me wrong. And he also that proved his toughness matched his heart and determination.
