Yes, he might have a little bit more pop. Maybe. Relative to his size, Fury is far more of a feather-fist than Jennings is. Jennings has the sharper, more technically correct punches though. Fury is a big arm-punching slapper. A cross between Valuev and a poor man's Calzaghe. Yes, he moves well for a 6'9" oaf. Jennings is fitter and moves better - and that goes double for Wlad.
:huh He allowed him to clinch for 10 and a half rounds. Then took a point and Wlad won the 11th and 12th convincingly. I wouldn't call that being uncomfortable.
:good That's pretty accurate actually. You know I've given Jennings a lot of credit lately, especially after his fights with Szpilka and Perez, and even more so after last weeks performance against Wlad. If he stays motivated then it's likely he'll eventually pick up a strap, at the moment he's the clear #1 US HW in terms of skill, as well as recent performancea.
Yes but he was warning him the whole time and I did feel Wlad looked uncomfortable in that fight Didn't you?
He had a few moments in the rest of the 10th and then the 11th round where he looked like we wanted to clinch but then stopped himself Roy Jones even commented on it. The 12 round he was all over Jennings and closed the fight well. I think people are making too much out of a fight since Jennings won a few rounds. Wlad is 39 so of course he is going to slow down a bit but I don't think it is as drastic as some are saying. 116-111 is as close as anyone has been since the first Peter fight which was 10 years ago so I can see why some might think that way but that fight was in no way close.
please stop it butt. we all know youre the biggest fury hater on this site. Size, strength, power, aggressiveness all belong to tyson fury. If by by had a bit more all that, he may of had a good go at wladmir.
Obviously it's silly for this guy to suggest that Jennings doesn't have a single tool on Fury. But you're being a little harsh too, IB and probably influenced by your own scorecard for the fight last Saturday - which makes sense, it was your opinion that By By should have won if he won the 12th. I respect your opinion, but happen to disagree in this case. Jennings > Fury Defensively Jennings > Fury Speed of hand and foot Jennings > Fury Chin-wise Fury > Jennings power (but not by as much as everyone's making out) Versatility of attack? I think you're being harsh to Tyson there. I certainly think he's more varied in his attack than By By. Fury is also VERY, VERY, VERY, VERY big - that doesn't hurt. So to me... Fury > Jennings Offensively Fury > Jennings Size I think Fury/Jennings is a 50/50 fight and I'd give the slightest edge to Tyson. Highly doubt he beats Wlad though.
Relative to size means absolutely fk all in the heavyweight division. The 260lb 6'9 man hits alot harder than jennings. Id like to see the punch stats of fury's last fights, id wager he throws more than the average heavyweight fighter.
He pushed chisora around like a rag doll as a young fatter out of shape man, Delboy is a pretty strong fella, vitali and helenius had abit of trouble keeping chisora of them. Fury has now matured and is one of the strongest hw fighters there is. It will show, when they fight.
I too felt that the fight wasn't close And he didn't look that bad He looked like I'd expect him to look But it was more about his demeanor He looked slightly worried to me against an opponent that really didn't pose any real threat to him
Would you like to get hit by them? best chin on ESB. Hes no Sergey KRUSHER Kovalev, but i certianly wouldnt wanna take them all night. first man to stop steve cunningham. Amir mansour couldnt do that.
