    Ali after his lay off.
Leonard beat Hagler after a virtual 5 year lay off, which is infinitely more impressive than beating Peter, Gomez, Arreola and Johnson.

I get your point but it's Vitali's size against a division soaked in it's own **** that is fronting these results and none of it is impressive to me in the slightest.

Fine athlete! Nice man! Good role model! Poor Champion!

He has already faked injuries and ran from both.

And if the OP has a problem with the 'excitement' factor, I can see how hw might have been excited by Haye's thrilling bout with Valuev.

The point of the game is to win.

And at this point, the Klitschkos don't just win, they COMPLETELY DOMINATE all of their opponents.

It's hard to think of a time when there was such a gap between the best in the division and the next batch.

Probably not since Joe Louis fought the bum of the month club. He was so utterly dominant they could hardly find respectable competition. That's the same problem we have here & now.

Another point is that VK has defended his title 3 times this year while Haye has fought, if you could call it that, once. :rofl

Coming off a less-than THREE year layoff at 30 and fighting an older fighter at the end of his career, after demanding that the championship fight be cut by three rounds and then, eeking out an extremely disputed decision ?

That compares to coming back at 37 after a FOUR year layoff being plagued with injuries, and totally dominating four top-ranked HWs (two undefeated) with a combined record of 123-2 ?

Get the **** outta here !

We got enough haters on here already.

I'd be inclined to agree with you about Vitali's performance if it was his only defense all year. Even then he won every round..................

Klit won and that's all he needed....The greats from the past I do believe could not have stopped Peter any better that Vitali did....which was no small task. It's too hard to compare now to then, but an example would be how Quarry stppoed Shavers in one, while Ali had hi hands full with Shavers and nearly got his butt handed to him, so compare that as well

That's a prime example of "styles make fights" and Kevin wasn't in a fighting mood. He went into a shell and leaned away from every punch. He never opened up for fear of being hit full force.

    PLEASE:lol:

Leonard beat one of the top two or three middleweight champions in history despite never having fought at the weight! He'd had one fight in five years and in terms of competition the Howard fight isn't worth mentioning!

Stay off of boxingrec with your manufactured assembly pro record and give me a ****in break:lol: The idea that you have to mention their combined record tells me you know your talking ****.

Leonards win over Hagler is regarded as the best comeback in boxing history by anyone who has a clue about the sport!

I'll compare it. Quarry's punch was better than Shavers chin that night and when Ali fought Shavers he was shot to **** and had the opening symptoms of Parkinson's syndrome!
