These two made history, given how long they ran the show and dominated

Vitati was my favorite fighter, but given his injuries I think Wlad had a more impressive reign, out of the two

Chagaev, Povetkin, Haye, Ibragimov. Wlad faced and beat everyone with a pulse during his decade long run

But Vitali’s overall toughness, and the fact that he had never been put down, and his only two losses were from to injury, combined with his knock out ratio, made him my favorite of the two

Those two really show just how much you can accomplish; by BOTH of them reaching the very peak of a very competitive sport like boxing, and also having BOTH earned PhD degrees, as well as being deeply involved in so many charitable causes. Not to mention that VitalI went on to become mayor

Amazingly driven, talented, ambitious and intelligent guys. They will be missed

A vice grip on the division for 12 years by the two brothers. They dominated in both longevity and in individual fights often losing very few rounds to their opponents.
I'm not sure if it's because they are Eastern European or just that most heavyweights don't get their due until they are retired awhile but I believe both are underrated by most.
    Two Greats

They got a lot of stick over the years mainly due to the lack of competition and the manner of how they went about seeking victory. Wladimir loss too AJ done his reputation the world of good. Showed he's a true warrior

Both great HWs, definite HOF'ers, possibly ATG's. Wlad was MUCH more gifted athletically and as far as natural god given ability, but Vitali was a to-the-bone WARRIOR and had all the resilience and mental toughness of the two. I think his position as the older brother and his being the less gifted of the two made him like that and I think that's mainly why Wlad was how he was. As a general rule that is extremely consistent, guys usually aren't tough and don't have the mentality of a warrior if they don't have to.

One of the biggest shames is that in fantasy H2H matchups Wlad will always be dogged and picked against because of his chin and mentality, when the fact is he would lay it down on so many former HOF'ers and greats.

Too bad they didn't fight each other. I think Vitaly wins it. Both classy and intelligent.

Sanders rocked Vitali. And Vitali didnt have the perfect style against tall fighters with great jabs ( the likes of lewis, wlad)

Vitali ended Lewis career, Lewis was offered a huge amount of money for the rematch, but Lewis ran, Lewis also admitted he always avoid Corrie Sanders..............One more round and Vitali would have knocked Lewis out! In the rematch I would have put all my money on Vitali. Vitali was also one fantastic kick boxer, he was a six time world champion kick boxer, both pro and amateur, he was awesome!!!!!!! Both Klitschkos were great fighters, and Vitali was not staggered by Corrie, not at all, he was never stattered by Lewis either, but he staggered Lewis, Lewis was finished, if not for the cut, Lewis would have been knocked out, no doubt about it and that was with 2 weeks notice..............Vitali was more of a warrior than Vlad..............you can buy the DVA "Klitschko", it's really good video.........

Still expecting Vitali to come back and do some, let's say, "garbage disposal" related duties in Alabama.

What they achieved was unique in regards to 2 brothers dominating for so long and they truly did dominate, even the next best guys in Haye, Povetkin, Peter, Byrd etc where hopelessly out classed by them.

That was part of their problem, Vitali's had no defining wins, Wlad had no defining wins either nobody will be talking about Wlad/Haye or Wlad/Povetkin in flattering terms despite his dominance. Historic fights tend to be competitive ones and neither of them had opposition that could begin to compete with them. That combined with losses in the previous era meant they were looked at with skepticism for much of their reign but you can't deny their success and dominance and that counts for something and it's always tough for the new champion after a great era.

Any boxer has his own "skeletons in the closet". Some people say that Vitale resigned and avoided Rahman.

Yes, the most exciting fights with both brothers when they lost Wlad with Sanders and Joshua and Vitali with Lewis their other battles are for the most part very boring.
