I don't see Vitali-Foreman being much of a battle. VK takes away all of Big George's tools.

Vitali would be able to hang with any era, he got the size, chin, toughness, and power to give almost any Heavyweight a tough night. Wlad on the other hand could be intimidated, lacks toughness at the top ranks, and his chin is glass. Put a Tyson, Foreman, or a Bowe infront of him and see what happens. He can't handle pressure, and either panic or falls numerous times at the first sign of trouble. Look what a crude fighter in Sam Peter did to him, had him excessively clinching, panicking, falling all over the place, and turning his back to his oppenent. I could only imagine what would happen if a big punching aggressive fighter with skills would do to him, it wouldn't be pretty.

If you want to use Wlad-Peter for comparison, be sure to also use: Tyson-McBride, Foreman-Young, and Bowe-Golota

Both Bowe and Tyson were past their primes. Bowe was overweight for the first fight and weight drained for the second, and it was clear Bowe was not himself in that fight. Tyson was 39 when he fought McBride in june of 05, this fight means nothing.

If I wanted to be a real jag-off I could throw the Purrity fight in the mix, but I'm fair, Wlad was in his early 20's at the time and a good couple years before his prime. He fought Sanders when he was 27 and Peter when was 29, with Peter he was clearly i his prime, he had Manny in his corner and was physically at his peak.

Wlad does not know how to fight aggressive fighters with big punches, everytime he has he met the canvas and had panic attacks for all to see. I think Wlad is every bit as talented as some of the best Heavyweights of all-time, but he's clearly weak mentally at the top ranks and this would come out more if he fought better oppenents, such as the fighters I mentioned in my previous post.

Everyone who says that the Klitschkos wouldn't stand a chance is delusional or I am afraid to say it racist. Really.

I don't think some people can handle it that there are white Europeans dominating the division and so have to harp on about how great they were in the 70's. It simply isn't true.

The media made you think it was such a better standard with 'legendary fights'.

As soon as a black athelete or sportsman dominates, you watch the media jump all over it. Lewis Hamilton as just one example in last years F1....

Wlad was not in his prime against Peter. And, without an undersized Holyfield to kick around, Bowe would have been nothing; use Tyson-Douglas, if you want; and a prime Foreman was nothing special without his size advantage.

The same could be said for Wlad as well, I couldn't imagine how many times Wlad would meet the canvas if he wasn't 6'6 and a half 240+. If he was 6'2 with a 75 inch reach he would be nothing special, his jab wouldn't of been able to fend of so many heavyweights like it currently does.

Bowe was a special heavyweight, he was able to fight on the inside and outside with ease. Probably one of the most athletically gifted big men I ever seen in his prime. Foreman did use his size to win fights, the same thing Wlad and Vitali does today. Foreman, like the Klit brothers are generally 4-6 inches taller than there oppenents, and our physically bigger as well.

Yes, and both Wlad & Vitali have a significant size advantage over Foreman, and are much better technically. And, Bowe was nothing more that a well-promoted and well-matched underachiever.

Vitali matches up well against Foreman, I'm going to deny that. Wlad would look like a deer in the headlights against a prime Foreman, who was alot better version of Sam Peter. Aggressive, extremely powerful, free swinging, with a good chin. He would blow Wlad away in 3 rounds, Wlad freezes up when his oppenent is on the attack and looks lost in the ring. Foreman, along with Tyson, would be Wlad's worst nightmare.

Prime Tyson (Pre-Spinks), probably. I'm not buying it with Foreman though, I think Wlad smokes him.

Neither Klitschko is in my top ten ATG HW list, mainly because of a lack of great wins.

And that stems from a lack of great opponents.

But Head to head is another matter.

In the seventies, I would pick Ali and maybe Foreman over Vitali.

I think he would beat the rest, most of them by KO.

Thats fine, your entitled to your opinion. Though you must look at how Wlad wins fights, and who are the fighters that give him the most problems. Wlad has yet to face a big punching, aggressive fighte since Peter in september of 05. He is use to keeping guys mostly 6'0 -6'2 away with his jab, and most of his oppenents are content on letting him dictate the distance. Foreman wouldn't let him control the pace, the fight would look similar to the Peter fight, where Wlad will get introuble early and panic when his oppenent is on the attack. Unlike Peter, Foreman was a great finisher, and if Wlad was hurt Foreman would end matters quick in a hurry, knowing Wlad's weak chin, it wouldn't take much.

Nobody should rule them being serious contenders in any era out.

They are both skilled, particularily Wlad, both very big punchers and Vitali also has iron nerve and chin to go with it.

Also, you've got to take into account how big they are. They are considered huge now, back in Marciano/Louis day they'd have been gargantuan, as good as guys like Marciano were I think they'd find either Klitschko extremely difficult to beat on size alone. Look at Valuev, he's not much of a fighter but his size makes him extremely hard to beat, now imagine if he could punch and box too.

Wlad's movement looked so sharp in his last fight, it's hard to see anyone cornering him or forcing him out of his gameplan.

Foreman is not the 6' tall, pudgy, unagressive, physically sick southpaw that Vlad just fought. Chag was afraid to even get hit. A younger Sam Peter and Foreman were the kinds of guys that did'nt give a f. Foreman would steam roll him, and in any other era Vlad would have been DQ'd for holding again Sam.
