yeh I don't know what the Klit lovers are taking about !!!! They have been shouting about how Haye doesn't deserve a shot at a Klit for months now........and how he should fight a ranked HW first........... well he is doing that and they are still complaining
The best part is that David Haye has been avoiding paying taxes to Her Majesty by doing his business in the Turkish part of Cyprus. It is no wonder very few attend his fights.
So not only does Haye have no respect for his fans, he has no respect for his country. Yet we still get ******ed Brit posters lining up to lick his ass. Get some pride you wankers. Haye is a tosser and you should be ashamed of him. He is jerking you around, shitting on his own fans and on his own country. Hell, you didn't appreciate Lewis as much as you should have when he was champ. Is there something fundamentally ****ed up in your heads? (This ain't aimed at those few Brit posters who are sane - you know who you are)
Yes, it is a sad story. Haye has no respect for his country yet some deluded British fans defend every step he makes.
True. It will be Haye's first fight against a TRUE top 10 ranked Heavyweight, in fact top 5. This can only be good for any future fight against either Klitschko but only if Haye wins and wins big.
Is lieing a class in british schools ? They had to place CURTAINS infront of the upper ranks to appear the place being sold out.
No. They're saying that Haye cancelled a fight he would LOSE, and big time, with a career ending highlight KO loss, being beaten to a bleeding pulp, for disappointing PPV numbers. And instead took a fight for the same disappointing PPV numbers PLUS a quota of the total TV revenues (i.e. german ARD money) which he CAN win, so he would get title defenses for good money against tomato cans out of Kings recycling bin. Simple, isn't it ? Ok, maybe not simple enough for british pub drunks behaving like classless shitheads beating up female seniors over a taxi on every freaking weekend.
Sometimes an undeserved title shot is perfectly OK. As a Klitschko fan, I would have loved to see Haye against Wlad or Vitali. Haye is the one who didn't show up and fact is, the Klitschkos keep landing fights while Haye keeps talking classless trash. Last year he said he would only fight the best HW's, accused the Klischkos of fighting bums, that Wlad would be the easiest fight of his career. Now he makes disparagin remarks about Valuev's body hair, 16 months after his declared assault on the HW division, a time span in which he managed to fight once, against a fighter who was already KO'sby Wlad and Valuev. So now he is fighting Valuev, after claiming he would only fight the best and not bums like the Klitschkos. Valuev shouldn't even be champion, he lost to Chag who was dominated by Wlad. No problem if he wants to fight a ranked fighter before the Klitschkos, but he could have done that half a year ago and not talk all this **** about going for the Klitschkos directly.
to be honest though 7-10k isn't bad going for an event just before Christmas....in the middle of a resession...... sandwiched in between Hatton and Calzhage fights. against a total unknown to most casual boxing fan. against a big name, Haye can and has drawn a very big crowd
Very good point. Against either Klitschko, if Haye had shown a good effort and make it an exciting fight, win or lose, he would still be a hot fighter at HW. Against Valuev, he is damned to win and in very convincing fashion. If he somehow loses, he is a joke and not marketable. Of course Haye would be favored, but stranger things have happened.
That someone else was Kevin Johnson. See here: http://www.eastsideboxing.com/news.php?p=17240&more=1 When I read this "Unaware that the fight had even been scrapped, the 28-year-old informed me he was going to have to make some phone calls of his own now that I'd given him the news! Astounding. According to Johnson, the first he heard the fight was off was when I told him. Very upset and disappointed, "King Pin" told me he wanted/wants this fight bad and at no time did he ever ask for more money.." at that time, I thought: C'mon! That can't be true! That article came back to my mind when I read this at espn: "Boente said Booth received the final draft of a contract they had agreed to but refused to sign it or return telephone calls, e-mails and text messages from Boente and Finkel." "'[...] From [Wednesday] morning on, they don't answer us. This is the worst I have seen in negotiating. We have not heard from them. This is so amateurish.'" http://sports.espn.go.com/sports/boxing/news/story?id=4349120 I am starting to see a pattern here which I don't like and which makes me tend to believe the Klitschko side of the story.
