He finally opens up for 1 round, and the end result is Chambers looking like a real life Fight Night flash knockout. Brutal. This was the absolute worst way for Eddie to get beat....outclassed for nearly 12 full rounds, but fast asleep when the final bell rings via devastating knockout.
After sitting quietly and taking a couple of good ass chewings from Steward, he finally spoke up....................:yep Never seen Steward so seemingly disgusted with Wlad as he was.........but I guess him expressing his disgust like that was what motived his fighter to step it up, and with the exact outcome Steward was pressing for. Power. That was one powerful shot. Chambers laid there, face down, for quite some time.
What's more powerful, Wlad's left hook or Wlad's straight right? I sure wouldn't want to be hit with either. I really think those two punches are the hardest in boxing ATM. Chambers has never been knocked out and really, Wlad looked like he could get him out of there way before. I do think Wlad is being very cautious. But, really, he's much better than the boxer he was pre Steward. Against a top top defensive volume puncher he may face problems. And yes, the only one who fits the bill is his brother. Haye's too open. Wlad is SO MUCH faster than Valuev that... there would be no in and out without getting hit by those hammer hands.
If Sdunek still coached Klitschko this fight wouldn't have gone past six rounds, probably not even three. I thought Klitschko was going to KO Chambers early in the fight when Chambers' rough house tactics lit a fire under the big Ukrainian's backside.
it was a powerful shot. i don't think anyone has questioned wladimir's power, but chambers was there for the taking a lot earlier than that.
maybe, but i'm sure if haye did wobble, wladimir would give him a few little jabs, just to get haye's sense back up again. haye says thank you, and then knocks wladimir out.
Haye will be just as gun shy as everybody else who fought Klitschko after he fights Klitschko for a couple of rounds.
The younger version of Wladimir would win his fights more spectacularly and be a bigger draw with the yanks, but would he have strung together so many defences as he has now? Possibly not.
4 actually, but it doesn't make a difference. Klitschko's a safe fighter now. Haye hasn't got Chambers' resilience, nor does he have Chambers' stamina or Chambers' defense. Haye would get pummelled into submision.
Average fans don't understand just how good of a fight Wlad had. Chambers didn't offer much and didn't open up to fight. Americans (me included) got addicted to Tyson and want boxing to be like that. I thought it was a great performance for what it was. Wlad dominated Chambers and all the talk about Chambers having a chance was a real joke.
True-ish. What Haye does have is power, speed and flair, he brings something to the table, which Chambers didn't/couldn't. Wlad is a firm favourite...but Haye is a live contender, that's about as good as it gets in the shambles that is the current heavyweight division..
