Less than 7 weeks out and still no confirmed opponent. God knows who he'll end up fighting, it may not even be for a title, unless he is willing to stump up more cash for Browne.

Wlad won't fight Joshua unless WBA is on the line and he could very well not fight Browne either. He offered $1 million apparently. Now when Wlad was champion him getting paid his usual $7 million or so and his opponent about a million was standard but Wlad needs to realise he isn't the champion anymore. If the fight goes to purse bids it will be 50/50 and of course Browne knows this, unless Wlad is willing to offer something more reasonable than 12.5% or so he may find he has no title to fight for come Dec 10th.

I agree. Browne should get 50/50 if he fought Wlad for a vacant title. Browne can insist on a purse bid. Why would he accept $1m vs. Klitschko if he can get $500k vs. a much much easier opponent?

I get the impression Browne is being very well advised in this. His team know they hold some sway and aren't going to give in for less than what they feel they are entitled to.

Typical Wlad. He wont go anywhere near Joshua, if the fight is in Uk. He wants to control everything, most of all the ref WHO has to look the other way instead of disqualifiing his sorry ass for holding and grapping exsessively...

Oh cmon this is BS. He was ready to fight Fury 2x in UK, ready to fight Joshua in UK. He fought multiple times in the US. To say Wlad is a "hometown" fighter is really showing your own ignorance.

Beating Browne for the full title would make him the worst title holder in HW history. Way to go Wlad.

    Really?

Browne at least beat a known former world class opponent to win a world title. If that's what you think what would that make Joshua?

I suggest we turn this thread into a "latest in the WBA- Klitschko fight" thread

When has Joshua left the UK? He is the most coddled fighter in the sport today.

Martin right now is the worst , but he would get relegated to second worst if Wlad - Browne goes ahead.

That WBA regular strap is embarrassing all around , but its definitely the worst at HW where its contested for by a circle jerk of blow-in's who can't step into the ring more than once a year.
How is Oquendo even a factor for any title? His last good win was in 2003. Chagg hasn't had a rated win on his ledger since the year 2007.
Cherry picking into that cesspool when you have a Joshua fight on your lap is pure shameful. :shakehead:

Axel Schultz wants to have a word with you. Chris Byrd and Monte Barrett do too.
