    A single cut?

If it had been caused by a headbutt, sure. It wasn't. It was a punch.

The WBC ordered the rematch because they smelled money my man. No other reason.

Tell me the last time any organisation ordered a rematch after a challenger lost by TKO?

Lewis was obviously disappointed Tyson didn't come and honor the rematch clause in their contract for $25 million. In fact Lewis went to court to sue Tyson to enforce the rematch.

When offered the same $25 million for a Vitali rematch Lewis retired. Weird isn't it? :think

I'm not going to post again. The "gottem" thread had enough posts on it...

Basically, Vitaly started very well, really hurt Lewis in Rd 2 and had a great start to the fight. (personally, I think he should have gone all out and stopped Lewis in 2, that was his big chance).

At the end of round 2, Steward told Lewis to stop boxing, and just fight rough. Turn it into a brawl.

Four rounds later, it was all over by TKO.

Vitaly's "lean away" defence works great against 99% of boxers. But I think a boxer as big, and strong as Lewis with a good reach, is going to land on the right side of Vitalys face, a lot. And that's what happened.

At the start of the fight, Vitaly was hurting Lewis. At the end, Lewis was walking straight through Vitaly's shots just to land one of his own. Once he stopped hurting Lewis - and at the end of the fight Lewis had ZERO respect for Vitaly's power - he was in trouble.

Right now, I think only Wlad is big enough and strong enough to do the same the Vitaly. It wouild all depend if had he chin to do it, and was willing to fight that way.

I don't really like these threads, because I think Vitaly put a great effort, but lost fair and square. If the fight had carried on he would have just got hurt more and more. It just shits me that some people try to rewrite history, and talk **** about "winning the event".

I'm well aware of that...

I'm pretty sure the doctor didn't stop it because he had a few quid on Lewis.

the cut had got worse and worse every single round, I'm not sure how it was going to heal itself or not get worse, as Lewis was landing right hands pretty much all the time.

Though I'm pretty sure farmboxer will pop up with

"Lewis's friend the black doctor stopped the fight on a nod and a wink from Lewis or Steward because they were worried Vitaly was going to win and the doctor was paid off and did I mention Lewis had a broken nose".

Lewis was in talks with roy jones at the time of the vitali fight, but his ***** ass ran into retirment passing up on jones/vitali paydays, cause the WBC said lewis had to face vitali first (rematch). You can bet your dumb ass opionion that lewis had no belief he would of won that fight, an he lucked out cause of that eye cut

The amazing K brothers - constantly demeaned by the controlled American media and the dimwitted little parrots on these boxing forums - are an incredible sports phenomenon, the greatest heavyweights of all time! Not since Babe Ruth dominated baseball in the 1920's have any athletes so dominated their sport.

Jack are you implying that the controlled American media is withholding the American public from seeing the excellence and domination of the Klitschkor brtohers? Why would they do that?

Headbutt or illegal punch (like thumbing). WBC may be corrupt but they get it right from time to time. It was clear TD for Vitali. WBC just corrected ref's mistake.
