*What u don't know,u make up along the way it seems... an old Lennox?..Lennox was on top of his game and training for a fight till his opponentbailed... if anyone wasn't in shape, it was Vitali who took the fight without ample time to train... and who has Vitali avoided? Lennox is the one who promply retired never to fight again.

Yeah, Vitali took the biggest fight of his career on a short notice, yet to haters it's Lewis who was somehow 'unconditioned' for the bout. Assholes.

What a thread. Went from K bros domination to Lewis KO6 Vitali.

Only Lewis nuthuggers(who are ALL now Haye dicksuckers) think Lewis won that fight fair and square.

Anyone looking at that fight subjectively saw a genius beat a novice. Lewis fought the smartest fight of his career, and with a little luck, pulled of one of the greatest wins of his career.

Lewis gameplan was to stay inside the long arms of Vitali, and when they got together, he slammed those cornrows into Vitalis brow on every opportunity. Following most of the butts, on the way out, Lewis would throw an OH right, and it happens that the OH right in the 3rd won the fight for Lewis. He knew that if he could just continue for 12 rounds, tieing Vitali up, headbutting, then punching on the way out, that he would eventually hurt Vitali or wear Vitali down.

Like I said, a little luck, and volois, cut and TKO.

But yeah, Lewis gameplan was to be the physically superior. He tied Vitali up early and often, and did it each round until he was beginning to wear on Vitali. Even without the cut, chance are that if Lewis could've stayed on his feet, he would've ended up winning a decision anyway.

Not that I don't wish for the fight to have continued, but the only way to know who was the superior ATG would have been a rematch, and Lewis was smart enough to leave that question up in the air.

    Pure genius!

Yes their dominating and congrats to them for that, but it is a weak era so lets not get too carried away. At the end of the day you can only beat the guys around you, its a pity haye is such a slippery customery and that fight is off for the moment

Nicolay Valuev is really skilled. John Ruiz is really skilled.

    David Haye dominated them both.

    You're damn right.

We've seen Wlad just crawling around the ring, covering up like a coward. He never went out on his shield, just prefered to give his manhood up.

If he was in prison, Klitschko would have been Sanders ***** from that night on. He would be passed around prison like a *****.

The craziest thing I've read for a long time. Tell me, exactly who does Vitali have on his resume (in the Win column of course) that would support ATG status? We ALREADY know who the superior ATG is and he's retired already. Even if Vitali had won, there's no-one else he's fought that's worth a damn.

Could be something to do with the fact the TS put the Lewis fight in his first post as an example of Klitschko domination I reckon.

So let me get this straight.

First, you say Lewis DIDN'T win fair and square.

They, you lay out what you think Lewis's plan was. Which was to use roughhouse tactics and physical strength to overwhelm and tire Vitaly out.

Then you say that without the cut, using those tactics, Lewis probably would have won by decision.

And after ALL of that (not saying I 100% agree, but that's your opinion), you say there had to be a rematch?

Why? For Lewis to prove again he was physically stronger, had more ring intelligence and experience, and could grind Vitaly down again?

You've just laid out a far more convincing reason than any Lewis fan I've ever seen post, as to why a rematch was pointless.

Lewis was stronger. Lewis had better tactics. Lewis was wearing Vitaly down and tiring him out and would have won the decision anyway.
    All your points.

If so, then why on earth was there a need for a rematch?

Given that Vitaly's method of winning is traditionally to do the same - be bigger, stronger, and overwhelm the opponent with a volume of punches before stopping him, I'd say Lewis beating Vitaly at his own game is pretty impressive. You've made some excellent points there, well done.
