All the Klit-ites do that with Sanders, it's ****ing hilarious :lol::lol:

Mendoza really excels himself when he starts whining about the Lewis/VITLAY fight though, he comes into his own on that subject.

    Mendoza,

Everyone is laughing at you....when that happens it's generally not a good idea to try to back up your argument. :yep

How about you list some names then. It should not be too hard. You know jack &hit about boxing.

    Names please...

    What's a matter fighting weight?

Can you not find 5 fighters in each decades I mentioned who were better? I asked for names. You offer none. Its pretty pathetic that even when you cherry pick quotes, you can't back up what you say in words.

I will check in later this afternoon to see if you listed 5 better heavyweight in the decides I mentioned, but remember fighters who lost more than once / or were Ko by journeyman, or ko'd more times that Wlad was really should count. List bad names and I will expose them quicker than your sorry futbol team was exposed in last seaosn's play.

    Your move.

    Why?!

This is a very peculiar way of weighing things. Chagaev has fought twenty-six times. That's **** all. If he was fighting in the fifties he'd still be learning his trade at this point - i don't know if his career would survive the massive lay offs he's had, he possibly would have ended up in other work, never mind being top 5 in that decade.

He's only fought 6 twelve rounders.

Comparing his record like-for-like with guys from past era's is silly at this point.

This is between me and fighting weight. I think its best to let it be a fair debate. His cherry picked quote vs what I know on boxing. Leave it at that.

There have been some x heavyweight champions who have less than 26 recorded pro fights.

If you want to use Chagaev's combined pro and amateur record he has over 100 wins and only three losses on points.

To date Chagaev is 3-0 vs top ten fighters, un-defeated and has not been knocked down. Chagaev has fought only real heavyweights over 200 pounds. He has never used the color line, and would simply dust many of boxing's past 170-200 pound heavyweights.

I have to go now, But I will be back to see fighting weights reply.

Well i will leave you to it then, but your criteria is borderline insane and not helpful to your overall case IMO.

I'm not trying to get in on the duel between you and fightingweight, but Chagaev being top 5 in every decade is a bit of a stretch. I think their are a few decades where might just fit into the top 5, but in the 90's and 70's he wouldn't even make it into the top 10, let alone top 5.

Chagaev is solid fighter with a decent overall skill set. Though every big name fighter he fought ended up in a close decision, against Vaulev, Ruiz, Virchis. Chagaev never dominated or even knocked out one good oppenent, just MD's or SD's when it comes to facing the better oppenents.

I will leave the rest of the debate to you and fightingweight. Your a good poster Mendoza, I just feel you bit off more than you can chew this time.

I did not say every decade. And I did not list the 90's or 70's. I listed the decades of:

    1890's
    1900's
    1920's
    1930's
    1940's
    1950's
    1960's
    and 2000's.

Now all we need to do is let fighting weight attempt to back up his cherry picked quote with some boxing material. Let's not give him any more material and see what he comes up with. The thread is bumped once again.

My mistake then, though I know I can make a top 5 list for half of the decades you threw out there, where Chagaev would not be in it. Though to be fair to fightingweight, I will let him respond to your challenge.

I will later on when I've got time, don't worry - but it'll be a complete waste of time because I know exactly how he'll respond before he even does it. He'll visit boxrec, come up with losses of the fighters I come up with, and then list the weights of the people that beat them, claiming that Chagaev couldn't possibly lose because he's 'bigger and heavier' :nut

He's already been owned on this point in the classic forum if anyone cares to look, I may as well just copy and paste links to the thread there :think

In other words. I know I'm going to get owned, so I'm creating excuses already. Nice! And don't pretend you won' be using additional resources such as box rec or other posters material.:deal

Come up with the names in all decades if you dare, then run for cover.:lol:

You have to love a guy who cherry picks quotes, then tucks his tail between his legs and makes excuses out of the gate when someone wants to cross examine what he says. I'm not impressed.

Step up to the plate, or get lost.

 That used to be one of Widdows old tricks. If someone had him stomped in a debate he would make a run to boxrec and other sites and have paragraphs full of info a half an hour later. The age of the internet kinda takes away from a good debate, where you yourself should be able to recall what happend in a fight or over a career. Now boxrec and others do all the work for you.
