And that reason is that Klitschko is a fraud. At least Thompson was a former cruiserweight title holder. What was Ross Puritty? He wasn't just a tomato can; he was the guy tomato cans used to pad their records.

Amazing how you Haye-ters always bring that **** with Thompson up like it proves something, then give WALDO the benefit of the doubt with the Purrity fight, the Brewster fight, the so-called fake knock downs against Peter....etc etc etc

Which fans are more deranged, I wonder :think

I've never seen a thread entitled "Haye fan quote of the week" as yet :think

Toney has as much chance against WALDO as WALDO would have had against a prime Ali, Foreman, Tyson or Lewis :good

Haye gets the pass because when he lost it was as an 11 fight novice, against a very seasoned pro in a world title fight. Who was Wlad fighting in his 11th fight....the great Biko Botowamungu (9-5-1) and getting a gimme decision :good

Sence your at boxrec, might want to look up another thing, count how many fights wlad had in the past year leading up to purrity, 13, an it was his second fight in less then 30 days,,,,,i don't see china chin hays doing that,,,,,,an the seasoned pro your talking about was 41, that a little more then seasoned, also had six losses on his record, an you know what he retired right after the fight,,,,,,Also wlad had his 11th fight before even completing in his first year as a heavyweight, he finished two more fight before the year was out,,,he kept that pace up till purity, which was two years into his career an his 25th fight, for the record hays dosn't even have 25 fights, an he lost also two years in, it was his 11th fight:hi:

I'm sorry, but Frazier couldn't do that to inferior fighters with worse chins. He could break Wlad down, catch him later on - and would almost certainly beat him. But it wouldn't be early - and certainly not with this cautious incarnation of Wlad.

Ignorant post. Toney has zero chance against Wlad, way too small. Arreola is a club fighter who can punch. His skills and movement are crap. and he is not fast enough to get close to Wlad and chin him. Arreola would get knocked out on 4 rounds, no way does he get further than that. Rahman probably had a better chance of landing his big right hand than Arreola will, and Wlad will land on Arreola from round one. The guy is a hyped up bum. Ibragimov is a far better fighter.

Not of course, that I am a fan of Wlad. Just being objective. I can never rate the guy that highly for numerous reasons. Firstly, his very poor resume. Ok, its full of todays top 10, but that means nothing. Its still very poor relatively, and nobody on it comes close to being elite. Not his fault perhaps, its a pitiful era. But still, boxers are not rated on the benefit of the doubt.

Secondly, he matches up very poorly in head to head matchups. The guy simply cannot take punishment, he panics and has no chin. How anyone sees him beating the likes of Lewis, Holyfield, Bowe, Tyson is beyond me, it really is. Wladimir has fought against opponents two levels down from these guys all his career, and has been spanked three times and been down loads more....these guys would do the same. Wladimir has altered his style somewhat since these losses, and now fights timidly behind his jab, but this would not wrk against these guys, not for long. They have the size, speed, movement etc and would find him. And when they do, he is getting dropped. Simple as really.

Wladimir is a fighter that has begun to dominate a weak era, of contenders who are simply a level below the contenders of the better eras. Ibragimov, Peter, Valuev and Areolla are a level down from guys like Tua, Ruddock, Moorer, Golota, Bruno, McCall. Despite this Wladimir has struggled against them at times. Primarily due to a weak chin, stamina issues at times, and a tendency to panic when hit. The guy has not even become the true HW champion, he has unified the two worst belts. Its ludicrous that people can rate him so high really. He has all the skill, size, power, talent in the world. A truly great talent. But greatly, greatly, hindered by his chin/punch resistance, and inferior era.

Wlad is way too cautious to knock a puncher like Arreola out in 4. He would do like he does against everyone else and jab them to death within 10 rounds.
