I think we'd be surprised to see just how many ATG's might fall from some of today's 'lesser' fighters like V Klitschko. That's all I'm saying. We can only go by so much, but I think we can all agree that V Klit is one of, if not THE most skilled, tough, and powerful BIG men boxing has ever seen. that count's for a lot in the ring, resume's or not.

size isn't an automatic advantage dawg, especially for someone like vitali klitschko. klitschko has been shown to be very hittable, corrie sanders who isn't one of the most talented boxers around. rocked vitali klitschko numerous times with uncoordinated punches that landed at will. vitali klitschko uses his size WELL, but he has far from perfected the art of controlling the distance. joe frazier's brilliant head movement would allow frazier to get inside vitali's gaurd and tee off on his mid-section.

i wouldn't exactly define vitali's skills as "sharp", but i would define them as "effective" and nothing beyond that. as for his footwork, the guy stands slew footed and almost plods around. i havent see one fight where vitali has worked angles on his opponents, everything vitali does isn't fluid. he's very stiff, and he only knows one direction when trying to evade an onslaught, and thats backwards. vitali klitschko is neither faster on his feet nor faster in general than frazier. to beat frazier, you have to give him angles to confuse him, or if your george foreman lol.

holyfield wouldn't knock him out, that i concur. but evander holyfields entire approach is extremely difficult to figure out much less overcome. he utilizes a very effective defense by parrying his opponents punches. and in terms of overcoming adversity, i mean beating different types of fighters. holyfield has overcome an assortment of different styles from slick boxers to powerful brawlers. his high work rate would also be a hand full for VK. but this fight is a toss up though, but i would still lean towards holyfield to a decision victory.

the only thing i agree on is size and chin, but footwork and no fear i disagree on. vitali klitschko has shown intimidation through some opponents, notably byrd and sanders. and if this is the case, he would show ALOT of intimidation against tyson. the "tyson affect" would definitely influence vitali.

as ive said in the past, vitali klitschko isn't a master of controlling distance nor has he perfected the art of avoiding punches. he has had success against his opposition, but LOOK at his opposition. how many of them had the skills of even a shot tyson?? how many of them know how to slip punches, work the body, and counter with monstrous hooks and uppercuts as good as tyson did?? but most importantly, how much affect would vitali's jab have against tyson?? a jab that has a 20% connection ratio?? that definitely isn't gonna help against an opponent that made slipping jabs an art form. the only thing vitali klitschko has on tyson is a couple of inches in height. vitali klitschko has and never will fight someone of tyson's calibre.

Man, I guess I really hit a nerve. You guys are sooooo sensitive.
It's true, Vitali is one badass dude, top 5 ATG--outpoints alot of the heretofor mentioned champions: Holyfield, Louis,Frazier, Liston, even Iron Mike.
Has trouble with Ali,Lewis,Holmes,Foreman..like I said he's top ATG
Tough SOB and alot on this board know it.

The first remark is worth of another quote of the week :patsch

The second remark is something that your hero VITLAY would probably smack you in the mouth for, I suspect.
