    :rofl

The great thing about Fighting Weight's Klittite quote of the week is that it is always indisputably awful. The man has a talent.

Exactly how it happened. I can't really blame Lewis either since these guys fight for money & the money against Byrd was far less.

For the record I would've loved to have seen Lewis vs. Byrd.

I rarely see eye to eye with FW but at least he does find some gems here & there from some overzealous Klitschko fans.

by tellling people he doesn't know to man-up through cyber-space, who does that??

he only brought up the political reason why lennox didn't fight and that ws the ONLY reason. one can assume that judging from his "lewis ducked byrd like the plague" comment he's implying lewis was afraid to fight byrd. when he has fought and beat opponents that are light years ahead in skills.

again, he didn't prove anything. it was just lewis wanted to fight better opposition, and byrd wasn't one of them.

its BECAUSE he's telling me to man-up over the internet is what makes it stupid, maybe i did make a mistake. but the level in which you people have taken this topic is very extreme. its quite silly, and you both should feel quite foolish getting upset over somethig so stupid.

because i can and i will, duh!

its pure speculation than facts, to say that lennox "ducked" byrd is pure stupidity. but hey, i guess when you dont fight every single fighter in the divison your always ducking someone, classic ESB flawed logic. you seem to be carrying it along as well.

is it you?? or the other guy trying to puff out his chest via keyboard??

whatever you say pal, im not going around telling people to man up via cyberspace.

ill type the way a man is supposed to type next time, then ill post and submit with more authority this time around:nut. real men admit their mistakes through the internet!!!

lewis did avoid byrd like the plague. steward claimed it would be a boring match-up, as the excuse for not fighting byrd. to me it was more like steward was fearful that byrd might make lewis look like a slow plodding hw, its a fight that should have happened.

While littlehook jerks off and cries, lets discuss the enigma of Byrd. Here is his forgotten masterpiece that earned him the number one contender spot that he never got to cash in on.

He would have been the slickest, fastest, and most technically accomplished fighter Lewis ever faced. Of course Lennox would have been the favorite, but we would have provied a real interesting challenge.

it would have for certain. ****ing byrd...that should have been tua's fight. slick mother****er, it should be against the rules to evade and dodge left hooks from the tuaman. doesn't byrd know how it's supposed to go? Tua hits you, you go down. Case closed. Byrd would have been a tricky one for a few rounds maybe but i honestly see lewis measuring him as both klits did. he'd find his range and start pounding home those right hands. after that, it's OVAAAAA!!!

Ruiz and Byrd are no easy task and for less money forget about it. Burd hard to hit and fast and many good wins though most close he had the ability to dominate you and take waay your game. Ruiz is hard to look against. Nobody outside of Tua and jones has ever beaten him without controversy and has quite a few nice title fight wins. He obviously saw a flaw in Grant and got easy pickings. After seeing Golota drop him twice and lead after 10 rounds he must have saw a weakness. And he knew Tyson was past it lost his trigger finger and was easy money. Smart career move for Lewis made great money but Byrd an Ruiz would be great resumee add ons.

lewis not fighting byrd will not diminish his all-time greatness. yes, on his best night byrd might of made many heavyweights look bad since defense is not encouraged much in that division, but i'm sure lennox would of been the heavy favorite.
