    :lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

I think the Ibragimov fight proved what a 'true fighter' he is, more than the ones that he got KO'd in :yep

:!:come on man, that was iggy more than wlad. wlad's style is more cautious now, that's all. lots of fighters from the past boxed safety first and didn't get trashed for it

    I agree, Lewis wasn't chinny. I was just playing devil's avocate there..............:D

I don't think Wlad or Lennox are chinny, they just got caught by fighters that really weren't on their level.

Why? He boxed his way to a clear UD against an opponent who was unwilling to engage.

What, in your exper opinion, should he have done?

Here's a guy who has been stopped 3 times, arguably for throwing caution to the wind and being too careless.
Now he has spent years refining his game so that won't happen again. He has been beating everyone, and doing it dominantly. He runs into a guy who CANNOT beat him by boxing him, but is content on doing it just not to get knocked out.
Now if I'm understanding you, you would have advised Wlad to be the one to engage more???? Sorry ass, it was on his opponent to do that. :deal

Again, that's why Fightingweight's thread is a total, utter failure.

I'm quite glad I could be a part of it :good

I posted the original in another thread about the Klitschkos............I don't take back a thing from it either. Lewis & Klitschko aren't chinny, they fight at HW where a single punch can change the outcome of a fight.

Funny how that simple point escapes Fightingweight...............

I absolutley understand what you are saying , however the reason people go back to that ( I think ) is in one corner you have Wlad , a monster of man 6-6 ( i think ) muscles on his muscles , quicker than a guy that size should be , a beast. In the other corner you have Iggy who looks a bit like your local milkman

Even as a big Wlad fan would you not have liked to see him push home those advantages a little bit more ?

Thats the only reason I'm not really the fan i once was. I respect he wants to win but when you are ( near enough ) always the bigger , stronger , faster man it would be nice to see him blow some mother ****ers out for a change.

Wlad wasn't his normal self prior to the TKO, Brewster himself said that he could feel that Wlad was breathing hard as early as the 2nd round................

i don't care who you are: it's got to have an effect on you when you are landing 50% or so of your punches, and they are ****ing BOMBS, and the dude keeps getting up and coming forward.

He knocked the living **** out of ray mercer and now brewster is walking him down?? I'd be freaked out and disheartened personally

An abnormal blood sugar level was diagnosed immeditely following the fight. There was no sign of concussion like you'd normally see after a fighter is KO'd by punches to the head. In fact if you watch the final round you'll see Wlad drops his hands looking as if he's ready to fall over, Brewster lands a left, WK stumbles back and is held up by the ropes, the ref gives an illegal standing eight count, Brewster never really lands anything of significance, the bell rings & Wlad trips over the ref who helps him back to his feet & waves the fight off.

    That wasn't normal at all.
