I would just like to add that Ali got dropped by a 190lb cooper hard and had to be woken up by smelling salts. So it's not beyond realms of possibility that if wlad landed his left hook Ali would sleep for weeks.
Reading things like this just leave me wondering how people this stupid can even turn a computer on. Unbelievable.
Ali led on the ropes for 8 rounds against one of the biggest HW punchers ever. Love to see Wlad do that.
He doesn't have more power, I might add. Joe was one of three guys to put Ali on the deck. Haye never would have got to him and would have collapsed from exhaustion inside of 5 rounds. It the difference between a gym warrior and a ring warrior. atsch
Since it is illegal to lay on the ropes, he couldn't. I like Ali, but that fight was an absolute farce. Ali got away with things that no modern fighter would even attempt. One, he laid on the ropes all night, which is not allowed. Two, he held Foreman behind the head on every third exchange. It was a masterful performance, but it was rife with infractions. Watch it again and count how many times he prevented a lunging Foreman attack by grabbing him behind the head and pulling him in.
sick to death of these so and so could beat so and so arguements, there is no right answer and its such a waste of time.
The quote of the week always seems to be made by a poster that nobody knows. p.s...David Haye is a *****.
well it's not really illegal, toney did it all the time in his prime though ali was horrible for holding behind the head, no doubt
true...BUT ali fought foreman, shavers, frazier, williams, liston...all among the top heavyweight punchers of all time without getting knocked out. hard to argue with that chin
I'm a klitschko fan I won't deny it, and yeah some klitschko fans go too far. But what I hate worse are klitschko haters. Many people out there give Wlad and Vitali no credit. And to me it's stupid to compare the K brothers to people in another era. Not to mention many of the heavyweights back than were much smaller than the ones today.
