I like this quote from the same thread also by wushu Never hurt he was holding on to lewis for dear life atsch
Dont you love dumbass postes who know exactly what did hurt and didn't even better than the fighters themselves.
I think this thread should be merged with the Toney threads. The fact that most of them start off with the statement "an in shape Toney" which is more outragious that any string on the gloves statement will ever be puts them both in the same unreal world. Neither Klithcko has ever been hurt or really lost is as stupid as even considering a in shape Toney. Both Klithcko and Toney have blind and loyal fans which can come up with the most foolish comments. Take this one. "Toney is the most skilled heavyweight". A fighter that has gone life and death with Beltcher in a fight most thought he lost. See what I mean. His fans say it like it is a matter of fact.
You can merge ridiculous quotes with delusional fans of most fighters. Delusional Klitschko fans seem to provide the most ridiculous (and humorous) quotes with the most frequency. Oscarsexuals have good ones too. Some of my favorites that I've read here are: "Oscar clearly beat Mayweather" "Oscar cleaned out the lightweight division" "Oscar has no size advantage on Mayweather" "Chavez was ranked in the top 3 p4p when Oscar beat him" "Vargas was way better when he fought De La Hoya than he was when he fought Tito" Trinidad doesn't fight much nowadays, but back around 2000-01 on boxing forums....My god a lot of his fans were ridiculous.
If you would like to start a thread that simultaneously covers KLIT fan quotes and a discussion of ATG James "Lights Out" Toney, go ahead. Not by my analysis...let's be clear, Fat Toney beats most HWs, and has only lost to WBC Champion Sam Peter in the division. Not considering he weighed less in his last outing, and has been slimmer in his most recent interviews...so no, the glove string statement is a way more foolish thought than Toney ever being in shape. He's already began slimming down, and got his crispness back in his last bout. The glove thing stands alone...sorry. Since Toney is factually slimming down, your Toney statement belongs nowhere in the real world, it is perfecly at home in the fantasy land of KLITschko fan quotes of the week. Again, the parallel you are trying to draw here is insane...Toney has been in shape in the past...it has already happened. Therefore considering an in shape Toney, is not stupid... the KLIT's have been hurt, that's already happened. Therefore pretending they have not, is in denial of the facts, like what you are doing to make your Toney statement. Toney is the most skilled HW...if you have another opinion great, but this is a subjective endeavor. Ross the Boss, Sanders...come on now, are you saying that a poor performance against inferior opposition nullifies your skills...???...even if you are, Toney went on to win...unlike some others, whose skills you wouldn't deny, when they faced vastly inferior competition. Now you are reaching. Granted, James has a habit of doing just enough to win sometimes against inferior opposition...but to say most thought he lost, is a fabrication. Winky Wright went "life & death" with Sam Soliman, nobody would suggest that Winky's skills are down there with Sam though. Your case is basically built on James' less than impressive physique and his less than stellar dispatching of a journeyman...those two things do not prove him less skilled. James Toney is still the most skilled fighter in the HW division.
Wushu is an uneducated poor waste. If Toney actually had the balls to fight either Klitschko he would be in for an asswhooping, we all know he's ducking them.
Guys on the KLIT team have admitted that Toney was offered nowhere near the 50-50 he demands to fight one of these guys. You are alone in saying he has ducked them...give him his money, and James will fight them. Remember when Toney first fought Sam Peter, he had a different aura and people were afraid of Sam...Toney was not.
