I think it was that fight where **** was leaking out of Vitlaly face. maybe that **** . it was coming " outta " him and that came from beatings
Vitali is in shape at 38 because he was fighting nobodies? Lewis was out of shape at 37 because he was fighting better competition? What kind of logic is that.
So whenever a boxer has a very deep, serious cut caused by punches that means the fight was 100% one-sided and the cut fighter was getting his add handed to him round by round, without delivering a competitive fight? Now go in the corner and think about the non-sense you spewed.
Great Post. Also to note, Vitali has improved his technique since that fight. Even at his late age he is still improving, rather then easing into retirment.
Did you quote me saying ANY OF that or did you just make up your own bit of nonsense to spew go away clown.
They saw this for a couple of rounds, before Lewis managed to turn the tide: This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected
BOTH things are true. Vitaly DID, in all liklihood cause Lennox to retire. And Lennox was better on the night and in all time rankings, at 3 or 4, was the best of his generation and better than Vitaly. But he had no talk of retiring BEFORE the fight. And he did say on fight night that he would rematch Vitaly. And he did wait 15 months after the fight and watched Lewis deal with Sanders and Johnson, and THEN decided to retire. All of this points to a guess (well-founded) that he would be taking a big risk in rematching a guy who gave him all he could handle for six rounds. (While Lennox trained for a different fight, Vitaly took the fight on six days notice too). The evidence is pretty clear. And Lennox was younger when he beat Klitschko than Klitschko was Saturday night. No disrespect towards Lennox. I defend him all the time against his haters on here, and prime for prime, he would always be favoured over Vitaly, But his prime was at its end. His legacy was more important than $20M. And so he wisely retired. As an ATG top 3 or 4.
The argument that Lewis was supposed to be too old loses more steam every time Vitali gets in the ring and performes like that. Lewis was 37 when he fought Vitali, Vitali is now 38.
So presumably Ali had no excuse for losing to Holmes then :huh As I said, it's easier to look good when you're older if you've fought bums your whole career. Lewis had been in a lot of hard fights, VITLAY hasn't....and when he has, he's quit :good
HBO was riding Vitali's nut sack that fight. Larry Merchant was in man lust. The fight went like this.. Vitali was winning from the outside...Lewis was closing the distance landing monster uppercuts on the inside from 5-6. Lewis got closer and closer. You could hear Lewis punches Vitali dont hit that hard. But aint nayer one of us know seer that can tell the ****ing future so back to reality.
Not really, I know VK will retire sooner or later & Wladimir can clean up the rest of the belts. Besides, great matchups are happening all the time at HW right now.
