Angelo Dundee (2004): He was on the way to becoming champion against Lennox Lewis, the fight shouldnt have been stopped. But, you know, thats boxing sometimes. The cut wasnt in a dangerous place. It wasnt bleeding into the eye. The younger brother, in my mind, is the better fighter. Hes got so many tools, he throws straight punches. Especially that left hand. He must be a converted southpaw.
I don't think anybody is saying it was an easy fight for Lewis. Just saying that the more rabid vitlay fans that announce Lewis won due to luck, and one lucky grazing punch are maniacs. Lewis cut Vitlay with a grazing punch, yes. But on the instructions of Steward from about the 3rd on forgot about boxing, and concentrated solely on hitting Vitlay as hard as he could with every punch - pushing the jab as hard as he could. He also concentrated on the cut as any good fighter would - and in the process tore Vitlays face apart. Anybody that thinks one punch can do that much damage is deluded. Lewis so far has been the only person consistently capable of landing on Vitlay. Not luck at all IMO. I would also suggest have a few years out of the ring didn't do him any harm either physically. Vitlay is more disciplined IMO than Lewis in regards to training tho. Lewis's knees were ****ed for the last few years of his career too I think, so that wouldn't have helped matters.
Roy Jones (2004): beautiful short left hook. Thats what I like about Vitali staying on the outside and landing these kind of punches I like to see Vitali box like that, Jim, outside he throws a hook/uppercut then comes back with hooks. You dont see big guys do stuff like that too often Thats why Im so impressed with him
Isn't it about time you gave it a rest? Nobody is as obsessed with the Klits as you! Its not healthy! Is this some kind of gay transferal thing?:nutl
Don't troll my thread with this kind of ****:twisted::twisted: If you want to start a Klit-hater thread series then feel free to do so, I've been waiting for it to happen for some time now - in fact I've been positively encouraging it with some of my posts in this thread :hat
Yes to be fair, he's come back extremely well since losing the event to Herbie Hide too - I give him his props for that.
Angelo Dundee (2004): "This kid is the whole ball of wax, throws every punch in the book" "He's the heavyweight division's best-kept secret," "We've brought him along just right, and he punches like a mule." "He is the future of the Heavyweight Division" Who was he talking about? .......Attila Levin. Try harder next time Farmy. :hi:
Roy Jones (2004): "If he acts crazy, he'll go early," "If he acts like he has some sense, I might let him go a few rounds." ...Roy Jones Jr vs Glen Johnson pre-fight press conference. Give it up champ. :hi:
Who is the tougher opponent - 2009 Chris Arreola or 2003 Vitali? Most posters on this forum are exploding in a shower of jizz over Vitali beating that fat slob Arreola. Imagine if he actually FOUGHT, never mind beat, somebody as good as he was in 2003? This forum would go into meltdown. Also, Lewis fought 2-3 times a year from 1989 to 2001, only slowing down in the final year of his career. Vitali fights approximately once every never.
I'm glad it's not just me that stops reading every time someone quotes Angelo Dundee. He's a great guy and all that but he really does talk bollocks at times.
