All things seem to be happening just like they did before the Sanders fight. Wlad has been extremely dominant, Wlad isn't getting some of the fights that he wants. Wlad is getting bored with having to fight manditories... and now he is fighting a dangerous guy as a late replacement. Rahman is coming in... people are saying that he is past his prime... people are saying that he is a walk-over opponent... yet everyone knows that he can turn a fight against anyone with just one punch.

Wladimir said himself once that it is much easier to say that you aren't taking an opponent lightly... than it is to put forth the same effort in while training for a fight against that opponent.

I know that Wlad has been taking every opponent serious, but I have always felt that Wlad was so talented... that it will always be easy for him to take things for granted.

I honestly believe that Rahman weighed in with his clothes on... had his head laying on the table during the press conference, ect... in an attempt to lure Wlad into that false sense of security. To get Wlad to believe that Rahman is just showing up for a payday, and all that Wlad has to do is toss his gloves in the ring to win the fight.

I really hope that Wlad stays on track, and takes this fight very seriously. Rahman is an extremely dangerous opponent, and you can't ever take anything for granted when fighting someone like him. Rahman knows this might be his last chance at gaining back his old status, and he will be bringing everything he has.

Can't see it happening myself - even as a Rahman fan. I'm rooting for him to win rather than thinking he can actually pull it off.

Wlad already has the experience of the Sanders' debable: it should not happen again.

    I agree Widdow (amazing right)

Rahman knows this is it. I mean to his credit he was tired at the press conference since he flew all night the day earlier. Also I think his clothes weighed 8-10 pounds (I know that is a lot but **** my military uniform and combat boots were almost 7 pounds extra on me) so I think his true weight is 243-246. Who's to say he didn't have **** in his pockets either?

Rahman is playing the part I believe. Whether or not it works is a different story.

I like Rahman and would love to see him pull an upset but I don't think I'd be worried if I were you.

You really think he'd fall for that, after the humiliating losses he's had in the past?

What makes me wonder, is how you can think a PHD pro athlete can be so frivilous and shallow, after finally climbing back from a very deep lull in his career.

Wlad is so focused and experienced now, that he would take someone like Vinnie Maddelone serious, if he had to fight him.

That's what makes Wlad's fights interesting, anything can happened when he is in the ring. Unlike Vitali, he is stable he showed the difference in Sam Peter's fight.
That's why i consider Vitali better then Wlad

It's not out of the question. Wlad has been dominant. He could be bored with his career right now. I mean sometimes you get complacent when you are so good at what you do.

You are only saying that in case it happens to say look I predicted it :yep

But seriously, most people didnt know anything about Corez Sanders, never seen him fight. Everybody knows Rahman is garbage.

I think Rahman's biggest weakness is that he is WAY too slow to catch Wlad. He is Ray Austin slow.

I expect this to end quickly.

Rahman's not garbage. Both his draws were garbage decisions (Tua, Toney) and was beating Maskaev in both fights till he got knocked out. (Lucky punch theory so many morons on this site love to use)

If I were you I would have been more concerned of Austin than Rahman. At least Austin had never seen the top level before. Unlike Sanders circa 2003, Rahman has been at the top and has been champ before. His will for getting it back will likely be signficantly less. I believe his second loss to Maskaev and his medicore performance against Toney show this.
