The number one rule for all living beings - If you do not evolve, you DIE. Wladimir Klitschko showed complete lack of adaptation in the ring - rounds 5 and onward, Fury went forward with his head dow, Wlad followed the Pavlovian reflex and grabbed, letting Fury unload with the body shots. Only by round 12 did Wlad realize to meet Fury with uppercuts, but it was a single shot and it was too late. Chef, if you read this, please make Wlad get a new trainer. He desperately needs to remove the outdated programming that Stewart left him with.
I know I am an amateur but even I saw the fairly obvious flaws in Wlad's gameplan. There is big difference between losing because you are not fit enough to go 12 rounds due to age, and between losing due to lack of versatility. Banks is not a trainer , he is a glorified sparring partner, double jab advice the entire fight? How about : stop grabbing, you're leaving yourself exposed, or "work the body, you can't possibly miss". I'd actually say he needs to try a few trainers, like Booth or Lomachenko senior.
Thing is, and of course this is strictly my opinion - Fury would have beaten him in any part of Wlad's career. Just a styles thing. Not saying Wlad was bad, because he clearly was the best HW for a very long time. But he's never seen anyone like Fury. And what we saw today was a boxing lesson.
He's 39, he should consider retirement before its too late. It's never ends good for the top heavyweights.
It's clear Wlad at 39 is physically waning. His jab has been missing for his last 2 fights, his reflexes are not what they were, he's sometimes looked uncoordinated in recent performances and when your physical attributes wane this exposes your technical deficiencies. We've all know Wlad only fights one way, he lacks versatility in his ****nal and Fury was able to expose that against an old Wlad. A younger Wlad would have been able to use his physical attributes to overcome that but he simply didn't have it last night, age gets to us all in the end, no matter how disciplined you are.
