The raptured eardrum is quite a shitty excuse, mind you!
Mike Tyson fought Razor Ruddock with one without getting decked, Razor who has more power than McCline.

Mike never made excuses, you or Peter shouldn't either.

He's been down, it's been proven.. his chin isn't the best.. but it isn't the worst either.

Those might be facts alright but still they raise a lot of questions and you know I'm a Peter fan but refuse to deny what I see. Peter was also slightly stunned after a flush shot from Maskaev who couldn't follow up.

This fight will be dangerous for both.

Agreed. Many people are dismissing the Maskaev incident as well.

Peter had an iron chin against Wlad. Time will tell if he lost something that night other than his perfect record.

Peter displayed an iron chin against Wlad, but hasn't looked the same since in terms of punch resistance. Hopefully he DID have a ruptured ear drum and that resulted in the KDs, because if he's ruined it's a shame. He's big, strong, and comes to fight and theres not a lot of them in any era, not just todays.

Peter tko9. After a great actionfilled fight..I like Vitali, but you dont come back after 4 years and just walk over the current champ...

People are really overlooking the fact that he is in his late thirtees and has taken 4 years off. A long layoff hurts.

I'm not overlooking it, I think everyone else is making too big a deal about it. It's not like he's been fat and out of shape.

Regardless of the layoff, if Peter can't take out average fighters like McCline, he ain't knocking out Vitali. Seriously you think so?

It could be an interesting fight, but I won't get too excited about the upcoming matchup, I'll until they enter the ring.

It was only what, 2 weeks (or less) when the Rahman-Klitschko was supposed to happen in November 2005 when Brittley pulled out the 4th time?

McCline isn't very good but he is durable and hard to KO. He's not a real good measuring stick. Vitalis reflexes used to be great for a big guy, if he still has them Peter won't land on him all night.

If Vitali is near to as good as he used to be, I'm picking him to win by a mid to late KO. But we don't know what he has left after the layoff, injuries, age etc. so it's crazy to go out and say Vitali by easy KO when there's so many question marks about him :good

Muhammed ali came back after 3 years at age 30, he had to have tuneups against guys like Quarry, and bonavena before he felt ready to go up against Frazier . Even then he didnt feel like he was back at his best....

Vitali has been gone for 4 years.Has suffered several serious injuries, that must affect his normal style, he has turned 37, much off his success against sanders and lewis was based on his akwardness, his great reflexes, to turn away from bombs...That was 2003-2004. Those reflexes are the first to go along with the normal ageing signs...

Peter is in his prime. You guys have been calling him all sorts of bull****.
But keep in mind he is young, hungry probably the strongest heavy in the game. He can punch, and take a punch...

Vitali will look good for a while then slowly go down in pace, and finally get picked apart and stopped by Peter...

You dont just come back after 4 years and walk over the current champ.

Vitali doesn't have stamina issues ever, so that's not gonna happen. He's not gonna come into this fight NOT ready to do battle for 12 rounds.

And as for the "current champ", well this guy LOST to the real current champ. He is NOT the heavyweight champion.

He is the WBC champ, simple as that. Check the sanders fight. Vitali couldnt talk for 10 minuttes after the fight due to being out of breath..It was bad then , it will be even worse now.....

Yes, he is a Champion you moron.

And he lost to Wlad 3 years ago when he was still in boxing diapers. We'll see who wins the rematch now that Peter is more seasoned and actually ready for a fighter like Wlad.

I think it has more to do with the fact that Peter has no skill than anything. I would favor several other Heavyweights over Vitali in a comeback fight but not the limited Peter. Peter is tailor made for Klitschko.
