Klitschko fought perfectly.

I am really impressed how controlled and dominant Klitschko was tonight. He did exactly what he needed to do; he won the fight with the jab alone. It's got to be extemely difficult to fight a counterpuncher in a crounching/leaning/bent over position the whole fight. I'm also impressed how Klitschko didn't go all-out for the knockout. He was winning the fight by a landslide and didn't need to position himself to be countered by a southpaw.

You can really tell the casual boxing fan from someone experienced at reading fights from the comments some people have made.

I don't think Klitschko should've done anything differently. Time for the next guy.

last time i heard clawing was illegal. And dont say it was to block punches because half the time he was leading with it.

Somewhat agree, he could have KO'd or at least hurt Sultan, or at the very least tried, and that would obviously have been better.

But, its not like he showed any sort of weakness or lack of skill, just effort.

He did what he had to do to win, nothing more. Wladimir showed great ring generalship, a great jab, and a hard right hand when he used it. I would have liked to see him show more variety and I thought he could have timed Sultan coming in and on his way out more instead of holding.

A dominant, but boring win for Wladimir

Better than hitting the deck against Jameel McCline 3 times i suppose..

Oh wait he went down 3 times against Peter....because it was the only way he could stop from getting rabbit punched and suffering severe spinal cord injuries... :bbb

I wish all the experts posting "Wlad Sucks" would realize that boxing is about offense and a thing called defense. Lets look at the facts: 1. Wlad was in against a known KO artist. 2. Wlad was in against a southpaw. 3. Wlad was in against a guy with very fast hands. 4. Wlad was in against a guy who counter punches for a living. 5. Wlad was in against a guy with a proven steel jaw.

The last guy to have all of these qualities that Wlad fought was : Corrie Sanders.

So anyone who knows boxing will conclude that Wlad fought the perfect fight against a person with all of the above qualities. Wlad did everything right and didn't drop his defense once. There is nothing, and I mean nothing wrong with that. I will say that Sultan is a tough son of a gun. Those punches would have ko'd anyone else. But he hung in there.

That's ******ed, especially coming from a guy with Sam Peter in his avatar. Klitschko already beat Peter's ass and showed the heart to get up from knockdowns. Any dude he fights at HW and takes punches from big dudes like Peter and gets up to win isn't a ***** like you.

Pawing an opponents punch away or down is not illegal. it is in fact one of the first things that I and most coaches teach durung a young boxers spar sessions. it can throw an opponent off balance or create a gap for a myriad of punches.

i dont care what Jim Watt says. It's perfect legal and anyone who says it is not is simply ignorant.
