I am a little surprised that this fight is taking place in Germany. I would think that Hayes people would incist on a nuetral location. I imagine Haye and his handlers acquiesced to get the fight made and if thats true then my hats off to them. Though, with Wladimir being the champ, they didn't have any other choice. It seems like a tough place to get a decision for Haye.

This is the first HW fight I've been exited about watching since I can't remember when.

Go to go where the money is. If there was more potential for profit in England that's where it'd be. No point going for a "neutral" place like Las Vegas and drawing 10,000 when you can have 60,000 in Germany.

thats because haye is going for the ko, he knows he cant beat klitschko in a boxing match and win on points, he is going to try knocking him the **** out, which is why he choose wlad over vitali.

Wlad is not German. Why can't people get that into their heads? It just so happens that Germany is the new centre of heavyweight boxing, as Haye will agree with him fighting his two career biggest fights in Germany.

It was either Germany or no fight.

Germany has a ridiculously good atmosphere, and its not like Haye is stepping into completely new grounds. He beat Valuev by MD in Germany..

I think nearly everyone that enjoys boxing knows that Wlad is not German. But he seems to fight exclusively there and I gather, but could be wrong, that he has been adapted by the crowd there in a way that makes him a defacto hometown favorite. Maybe something similiar to Bute in canada except that he was already successful before setting up shop in Germany.

It's stil his adopted homeland, no denying that. He fought there since his debut with few exceptions (he also boxed in Ukraine once and lost to Purity). German crowd was always on his side, so we can't really talk about a neutral ground, can we?

It's no different to when Pac boxes in the States, it's still his neutral ground. I would imagine just prior to the bell between Valuev and Haye most of the Germans would have wanted Haye to win. It's just where heavyweight boxing takes place now.

I don't think it is that simple. HW boxing in Europe seems to be more popular than in the US right now, Wlad has boxed in germany for 17 years, and I think it is clear he is treated as the home fighter more than Manny is in the US. The cultural differences between Germany and the Ukraine are much smaller than between the Philippines and the US (not to mention the huge geographical seperation between them, as opposed to just a few hours drive between Germany and Ukraine). Also, I think the German boxing fans may more readily accept foreigners as their own, especially one who is fluent in German. Manny's English is better than my Filipino, but he's certainly no Wlad when it comes to languages.

With those factors taken into account it is clear why Wlad is the home fighter in Germany, while Manny is more neutral in the US.

That was a term in the contract, Germany or no fight at all. Haye got his 50/50 purse with no other silly 3 fight terms, so agreed to it.

The English (Barmy army) will make the atmosphere in Hamburg, I bet Haye' fans drown out everything else.

Team Klitschko : "We waited until June because of Haye's promise of fighting Wladimir at Stamford Bridge, but they couldn't deliver the Chelsea stadium"

"They lied to me about Chelsea Stadium in 2009, then they lied to my brother. There have a been a lot of lies from David Haye and Adam Booth.

Klits can't trust those two clowns ,that's one of the reasons they will fight in germany.
