The fight has had only 9.5 million viewers in Germany, that's the worst rating for a Klitschko fight since Vitali vs Sosnowski.

Wladimir vs Haye got 15.5 million viewers.

10.01 million , 51 percent market share is what I've read.

Ofcourse Haye generated publicity, no ones doubting that. The fight was over 2 years in the making, ofcourse a lot of people will be watching. It was HYPE,HYPE,HYPE.

    Like Tyson vs Lewis.

Thats what fighters are supposed to do. Hype up a fight.

Did you think Ali called Frazier a Gorrila or Foreman a zombie because he was just a dick?

All this nice happy, respect and handshakes adds nothing to the build up.
These guys arent exciting enough as fighters to be that boring in person.

wlad is funny in an understated way, "he's just sinking in the trash, that he's been producing for two and a half years...and I think that david is not a bad guy, he just uhh, lost his mind, when he became, cruiserweight champion."

hahahahaha, that's funny, and sort of on point

No way Wlad fights Cris. Only Vitali faces guys who actually come to fight. He's protected little bro for years.

There's one set of balls in the Klit family, and Vitali has it.

That being said, Wlad, outside the ring, is a trememdous ambassador for boxing and a great example of a sportsman. Another classy interview.

    1. Chris Arreola - Don't see the sense in offering him a shot. He has losses to both Adamek and Vitali, plus hasn't beaten anyone of note in some time.

    2. Alexander Povetkin - Be nice, if only he and Atlas would sign the goddamn contract.

    3. Robert Helenius - Probably needs a few more fights first, but of all the mentioned names, I think he's the most intriguing and likely having the best chance..

    4. Tyson Fury - Not ready yet.

Maybe that's why HBO keeps showing Vitali/Adamek over and over and sports fans around the world complain that Haye flopped?

I guess you prefer talk over walk. :think

    x3.

For the good of boxing, however Madison Square Garden makes more sense. It's three hours closer to Europe, two hours ahead of Mexico City, and prime time in the major Canadian cities.

I wish the interviewer had asked him, point blank, which potential opponent Wlad thinks would give him the most trouble.

    - And also asked about the younger fighters like Boytsov & Dinu. (Wlad has previously specifically mentioned Boytsov as a possible opponent)

That would certainly be good as far as waking up the casual American fans, but it would be a tragedy if Areolla doesn't take it seriously. Sadly, this could likely be the case. Areolla could decide that he has no chance (which is true) and just eat donuts up until his big payday, then retire.

This would be worse for boxing's reputation than Pac-Mosely.

Where the heck are the contenders who want to eat Wlad's children?
