This is boxing today. It's a business. You go in there with the mindset that you have to do what it takes to win. You don't have to please the crowd. Doing so helps but a lot of fighters today look at the long haul. If Wlad put himself into harms way and got KOed, all of his momentum is over. I don't understand why people are so harsh to fighters who simply do the smart thing.

"Why not stay in there and throw more punches? He threw one four-punch combination in the whole fight and that was it. I think it was a disgraceful display from a heavyweight champion. He's got such talent and he's got the ability to impress anybody.

"His brother Vital fights with a little bit more excitement. We don't know what goes on in the gym; he may get hurt regularly and he might genuinely have a weak chin so he's doing what he has to do to win", said Nicky Piper.

Both fighters had promised to bring some respect back to the heavyweight division by unifying the title.

Klitschko now owns two belts and has promised to get back in the ring as soon as possible, but Johnny Nelson says he is unlikely to capture the public's imagination in the same way big brother Vitali did.

"Everything he did was non-committal when he got hit or let a shot go," he said. "Unless he was 110 per cent sure Ibragimov was hurt or in trouble, he wouldn't commit himself.

"Whenever Klitschko got hit, he'd grab and hold. When Ibragimov got hit at least he had the guts to try and do something. Klitschko just wanted to win. He wasn't there for popularity, he was there just to box safe and win.

he says he will fight again soon, but I doubt if he will be in the ring more than one more time this year. Twice a year seems to be his MO.

Ya know brother, maybe Wlad can get Chagaev to drop that stupid defense against Krasniqi and make more unification.

Might as well take care of Thompson, who shouldn't need much time. That should free him up to take on Povetkin after that, followed by the Chagaev-Valuev winner. That fight plan would take care of both mandatories, ensuring everything would be settled on his end for the WBA unification that I think is going to happen within the next year and a half. If there were a way to have Povetkin fight Thompson in an eliminator between both orgs' mandatory fighters, that would be ideal..but I'm not holding my breath for that to happen.

If Wlad follows that schedle, it won't mess up total unifiation because it will take that long just for things to get settled on the WBC's end thanks to the backlog they have. That's why I don't get why people are mad at Wlad for saying he's not going after the WBC...the next fish to fry are mandatories and the WBA.

Good. Once Sam Peter beats Oleg in 2 weeks, Wlad can finally fight someone with half a pulse and someone that will come right after him. Let's see Wlad paw jab and run away from Sam all night. He won't be able to. He'll have to mix it up and that spells trouble for him.

    July... Wlad v.s. Peter II

I'm beggin of ya... make it happen.

Exactly. Chagaev should show the balls that Ibragimov did by fighting the Heavyweight Champion if he wants to be called a real champ & not a bull**** beltholder. Krasniqi? What has he done to deserve a shot at any belt? He was KO'd by Brewster & Thompson. He's done & Chagaev already had a voluntary didn't he?
