Everbody thinks that fat Lewis fought the prime Vitaly Klitschko.
But if you know the circumstances and if you have watched Klitschkos fighst before and after the Lewis fight, also the Lewis-fight itself, then you come to the conclusion that Klitschko didn't fight clever and tactical like he does normally.

    What circumstances?
First of all, Wladimir has lost the fight against Sanders. Vitaly has lost against Bird. Both Klitschkos had a very bad reputation.

For everybody it was sure that a loss against Lewis would be the end for the Klitschkos.

    Therefore Klitschko was very nervous.

He did not use his style and tactic. He tried too hard to ko Lewis.

And the cut caused by the first real punch from Lewis (imo it was like a lucky punch) made VK more nervous because the fight could be end at very round. Klitschko needed to finish Lewis quickly.

His trainer critizices Klitschko after every round that he was too stiff. He should more relaxed.

You need to understand his stress during his fight against the best boxer in the world!

Of course Lewis had a good round lately. Klitschko was really exhausted like never before. But because of his steady training he would have regenerated fast.
But even a half-blinded, very nervous and "not-clever" Klitschko hurt Lewis badly.

Nevertheless it was not the prime Klitschko who has lost against Lewis.

The prime Klitschko is the man who got his reputation back after this fight and who could fight more "relaxed" by then.

It is not an affront against Lewis. For me, he ist on same Lewis as Ali, Frazier, Holyfield, Tyson and so on, a true Champion.

If Lewis had trained hard he would beat everybody but Klitschko easily.

Think of a "relaxed", tactical, clever Klitschko against a well trained Lewis: It would be a classical fight!

But even if Lewis is the much better boxer, Klitschko can humiliate everybody even Lewis.
Because he has an iron fist which is even very fast AND an iron chin!

    Lewis is more vulnerable.

IMO Lewis knew this danger. Of course he had the chance to win against Klitschko because he is a true champion himself and a better boxer, but Klitschko is like a machine, a man who can torture you 12 rounds and who can depress you because you cant reach him if he keeps his distance and agility.

Therefore Lewis was afraid of a rematch although the fight could be his best payday.

The prime Klitschko is the man who we see now. He is like a torturer. You are helpless in front of him ... (if you are willing to fight and not to run like Byrd or Johnson ...)

If this is a prime Klitschko, he's even worse than I thought.

31, is hardly "prime" for a boxer. Vitali has been owning this division as an old man. U mad?

But that was a KLitschko in his physical and athletic prime. He has never been as fast or punched as cleanly as he did in that fight. He only looked different because this was the first quality opponent he had faced and was slightly irked. He has a more well rounded style know, but he is much slower and throws exclusively arm punches.

Klit never seems fully relaxed unless he has Briggs in front of him. Klit seemed nervous when he turned around and ran away from Arreola. I'm sure Lewis was making him uncomfortable because he wasn't able to control fight. Awful thread.

I think he does not slow down. But even he has slowed down a bit, he gains much more experience and ring intelligence. And with his quick hands, agility, strength and iron chin, he is the best "fighter" today.

    Wladimir vs Vitali?

    Vitali would humiliate him.

Strange how he had "one of his worst fights" against the best fighter he's ever faced. Do you think there's any chance Lewis played a small part in that?

Tito's my favourite fighter - think how much more highly he'd be rated if he wasn't unlucky enough to have his worst fights against Hopkins and Wright!

The thing about sport when your better than your opponant you do all the things you plan to do, when your not as good he stops you doing what you do. So you cant say if he did this or did that cuz if Lewis had let him he would of done.
