The lead right shut Thompson down. He can't jab if Klitschko leads with the right. Klitschko needs to cut that **** out playing with the jab though.
I thought he looked quite good. The Setanta people are really hard on Wlad but I thought he looked good and it was a good fight. ****ing Wine-o commentators turn off luke-warm boxing fans.
The way I saw it Thompson's footwork was simply too slow. He couldn't get close enough to Wlad to land any effective punches. And those he did land lacked enough power. What he did do was present a defense that confounded Wladimir for most of the fight. Wlad simply couldn't land the clean punches he wanted to and his jab was relatively ineffective. The sad part is that this may have been his most difficult opponent since Calvin Brock.
