Wlad just beat the WBA champion (who was former undisputed CW champ), a guy alot of people was giving a real shot at beating Wlad, Wladimir has beaten everyone put in front of him since 04..
I understand that alot of people (especially klit fans) said that Haye was a fraud a bum etc.. But everyone with common knowledge knows that, that isnt true..
No one has givin wlad a comptetive fight since Sam peter I
People say that Wlad's opponent "isnt winners", that they dont come to win.. I dont know how people can say that, these guys are pro boxers..
Peter, Haye, Chagaev, Ibragimov.. All world champs.. You dont become a world champion without a winner mentality/attitude..
Have anyone ever throught that being competive with Wlad is alot tougher than it looks?
Anyway, Wlad can beat anyone he wants, he can dominate as long as he wants, he will never get credit..

Fans here have hated both Wlad and Vittili here on ESB even before they saw them, back when they were fighting 6-8-10 rounders in Germany.
They hated Lenox too, Lenox was hated just as much as DHL.

We did not have this across the board hate way back when.

But if the ''''fan'''' hates himself, he will hate the fighters...and just let his 'hero' get beat a few times and he is dropped.

Well I was a Patterson fan from Moore, and stayed one to the last fight with Ali.
He came in shape, did his best and went out on his shield.
    He went down swinging.

    What more can you want?

How could you honestly expect Wlad to get a ton of praise if everyone, including his own fans, are saying that his opponents are trash? I personally thought this was a very good win for Wlad. However, how could people who said Haye is garbage and had no shot come back and shower Wlad with praise for beating him?

I agree. Dunno whats up with people claiming it was a bad fight for both men just because he didn't stop him or 'pizza face' him

Being so dominant causes this. It is a lot tougher to beat these guys than it looks, every fighter thought they could, and they find out after it was very hard to do. I don't expect either brother will get the credit they deserve until much later after they retire. That's ok with me, I actually hope they both retire after a few more fights, I feel its time and there is nothing left to actually prove. I can tell that Wlad would love to impress more and he really wants to be on HBO, proof is in the post fight interview with Merchant. However, its just not meant to be, his style as effective as it is, will never be showstopping by any stretch.

Wlad just beat the heavyweight WBA champion, who was also regarded as one of the best cruiserweights of all time. Wlad showed great ring generalship and won clearly. He deseves the respect.

I'm giving Wlad a lot of credit. I think Haye is an excellent fighter who had the raw attributes to give Wlad trouble. I'm not a fan of Wlad and I was hoping Haye would win but he dominated a fighter I regarded as one of his toughest challengers.

In victory, I thought Wlad looked a little more aggressive than usual too. Excellent performance.

Its hard to give a man credit for missing 75% of his punches he threw, never even coming close to hurting his opponent who many felt had a shaky chin, and being unable to counter an off balance, free swinging Haye.

Wlad won by landing a few more punches than Haye in almost every round. That's hardly a dominate performance in my eyes. Haye certainly wasn't pizza face after the fight, it looked to me like Wlad had more sauce on him than Haye did.

Maybe they would get more respect if their opponents weren't such big talking pussies..and were born in a different era.. but I'm sure some assholes will blame them for that

its hard to respect someone who doesnt come to fight. his style stinks out the joint. it works, but, it is hard to watch. he avoids aggression, which makes lousy, boring fights.

Both the Klitschkos are good at what they do, no doubt about it, but they seem to be so far beyond their challengers in tactical and physical terms that they're killing the heavyweight division as a spectacle.

The story of David and Goliath had a point to it. Nobody paid for movie tickets in order to see Ivan Drago beat up endless clones of Rocky. The Klitschkos are currently the boxing equivalent of the NY Yankees, Manchester United, or Goldman Sachs. They represent a real argument for a super-heavyweight (230lb+) division to be created, and what better tribute to their dominance could there be?

I wasn't talking about you specifically. Even still, if you were calling Haye a **** fighter before the fight, it doesn't make much sense for you to praise Wlad for beating him now.
