It makes perfect sense, I'm not saying he will lose it but he won't like it as he didn't get punched in a professional fight since 4 years. That's why activity is very important for that reason and many other reasons. You haven't been hit in like 4 years then all of a sudden take punches you won't really react well to them.

That was also the beginning of Parkinson's for Ali which makes it WAY worse.

Just because you have some abdominal definition doesn't mean you're in cardiovascular shape, I'm sure you can back me up on this one.

There are guys in the gym everyday with abs but put them on the track with me and I'lll run 10 miles farther and I'll do it in 5 minutes less time.

Exactly. The Peter fans are counting on Vitali suddenly losing his ability to take a punch.

That is IF Peter can actually land anything big for a start.

Seriously, can anyone see Peter KOing Vitali? Please.

The intimidation could be real, then again he reacted the same to Toney even during the fight as he would turn his back on him or just smile everytime Toney said something. The many questions this fight brings just makes it more interesting.

He's been punched in 4 years. He's been sparring. I don't remember hardly any fighters with a chin who retired and came back then magically didn't know how to handle a punch.

Foreman was fine, Ali was fine, etc. etc. etc.

You neglect the punch resistance Peter showed vs Wlad...and opt to use the Mccline Fight but then go to the Peter/Wlad fight and say Peter couldnt stop Wlad...

    That's funny...

How about Peter took everything Wlad had who is more powerful than VK and he dropped him 3 times? That happened...

No one expected McCline to drop Peter, yet it happened. Anything is possible in boxing.

Peter couldn't put away McCline. Peter was the only fighter McCline wasn't scared of. That should tell everyone something about how good Peter's mythical power is.

Actually I think a lot of people were thinking it was gonna happen eventually. I didn't think the guys chin was iron like everyone said. It was only a matter of time.

Peter does not have a proven chin. He would DIE in the ring against Lennox Lewis.

Klitschko HAS a proven chin and can take ANYTHING Peter throws.

Yes it did. But Wlad fought like a scared rabbit. Vitali fights like a wounded tiger.

I am no Peter expert with regard to his weight but:

Peter does not look like he is in the shape of the second Toney. He appears to be in better shape than the first Toney fight.

In other words he is not in the shape of his life.
Does it matter? It could, as the fight is likely to become very physical if peter does not knock him out in the first rounds.

In my mind Vitali has the advantage down the stretch as Sdunek is a very good physical condition training.

Peter will probably dominate for the first 4 rounds, then conditioning comes into play, the advantage could go to Vitali. The whole thing is just so difficlut to predict. Ver y even fight.

I believe Wlad softened up Peter's Chin. So did McCline. Vitali will finish the job.

Seriously. Wlad and Vitali, 2 different fighters as evident from the knockout percentages.

Vitali is a mean mean man who wants to hurt you. Wlad just wants to survive with the win most of the time.

I never said they magically didn't know how to take a punch, you need to fight to know what I'm talking about or at least get involved deep enough in boxing.

Sparring is nothing like a professional fight, sparring is basically testing stuff out, it's not even meant to be a "challenge" unless we're talking clubfighter's gyms.

Foreman was fine indeed but who did he fight in his first come-back fight?, he fought an easy opponent BECAUSE he was off for as long as he did. Why didn't he fight Holyfield in his very first?, because it would be absurd.

Vitali is fighting the #2 best heavyweight out there and someone you have been completely counting off for a long time so I can't really change your thoughts here nor want to make a discussion out of it. Peter is a solid test for a man coming off 4 years of inactivity with serious injuries and 37 years old. If Vitali can handle Peter in his very first come-back fight then he can dominate this division easily.
