Even if this may not have been the case for the past, I think he will be dangerous in the early rounds in this fight as he will probably jump on the inactive rusty Vitali. I do not think we will see an immediate war as Vitali probably has a different gameplan. I may be wrong, we will see tomorrow.

Even if Peter was in shape he would still be leaving the ring, after being beaten down and KO'd. The skill difference is too much, and Peter is way out of his league. Peter looks fat in the weigh in pictures, he is definately not in good shape.

I'm getting the feeling that..................nobody really expects Peter to win.

Particularly after seeing the weigh in photos.

It was always that way, ever since the fight was official, it's just increasing(as expected) now that the weigh-in results are out and the fight is 1 day away.

I doubt it, jumping on Vitali would be a big mistake and I just don't see Sam do that right off the beginning of fights except when he was fighting tomatoe cans. When Sam gets hit with the first good punch he is going to change his gameplan.

It is just may take on the fight and only tomorrow we will see what actually happens. I just do not see Vitali trading with Peter early due to his inactivity. If it happens, I favor Peter.

I agree...I actually have it the other way...I don't think Peter has the advantage in either scenario, but his chances are better the longer the fight goes. I don't see him dominating the fight in any situation...but then again, some many different factors come into play when referring to a sport as physical as boxing. You just never know.

You favor Peter who hasn't knocked out anyone except Glaskaev over Vitali in a slugfest????

You can find some here backing Peter to the hilt. They're getting very much drowned out though.

Yes indeed, I favour him in an early slugfest. If Vitaly fights smart like in the Sanders fight, turns up the activity level and use some movement in the middle rounds, he might win due to his superior conditioning. That could be Sdunek's (who is s world class trainer) gameplan for this one.

That's exactly what I think, BLADE is right on point. If Peter has devised any game plan (or rather his team since Peter is dumb as mashed potatoes) then it has to be to put on pressure and fight offensively right from the start, while Vitali still hasn't found his rhythm (which can take some rounds after the long inactivity - no amount of sparring can compensate that). Peter can't hope on winning a decision against Vitali, especially not in Germany, so he has to go 'all-in' right from the start and hope to stop or at least hurt Vitali during the early rounds. If Vitali gets past the first 4-5 rounds I think he can keep Peter at bay with his jab, time him coming in and catch him with the right hand, and eventually stop him.

How many times do you see someone removed from the game for 4 years and comeback basically at the exact same weight?

    Peter is dead:lol:
