Vitali is not overtrained at 247. That is his usual weight and it is a slim, trim weight for him. It shows he trained and was serious about the fight.
6'0 255 llbs!! Sam Peter is a wide load. Vitali has such a massive size, and skill advantage that I don't think Peter has much of a chance. This is what is likely going to happen to Peter. http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=9s1PIHQmMWo&feature=related
why has peter come in so heavy? i know he'll never be 220 or similar but its a similar weight to when he fought toney. I bet hasim rahman will be calling for a fight if vitali wins.
I think he looks a bit better (hard to judge from just 2 pics, though). But it is worse than he was against Maskaev or McCline. Funny how as little as 3-4 pounds can make a significant difference even for heavyweights. He's right on the threshold of being out of shape.
Damn peters is holding his stomach in to, hes gonna get ****ed up, saying that though he may well tag vits and put him on his arse, looking foward to this now
The only reason why I wonder about the speed factor is because of the layoff for Klitschko. This is the only variable that concerns me. I just hope that Klitschko is still the same fighter. If he is, there is no doubt that he will KO Peter within 4 rounds.
Vitali usually ranges from 245 all the way to 250, not more. His weight is perfect for what he used to come in at when he was active, pretty impressive for a man 4 year off with serious injuries, he's clearly taking this seriously.
If the Peter-ites are still comfortable in a Peter win, they're smoking something heavy. Peter comes in at his next-highest weight, hes looked sluggish in training, Stacy McKinley and him are supposed to have some differences in training, it almost went as far as camp cancellation. If this isn't warning signs for you, then atsch
Well, Peter had a 6 month training camp for this fight. He was chopping down trees and such. It tells me Peter has an undisciplined team around him.
A video or the night of the fight should explain it, 253 isn't THAT bad considering he was 250 against McCline and Maskaev and 249 against Toney. Though I must admit he looked very good against Toney in the rematch even in the pictures, way better than the two pictures posted here at least.
Peter has an inflated gut. It looks like its hard for him to get rid of it. That being said I don't think he looks in that bad of shape.
Great build up article in the boxing news today, vits has had all the checks and is the fittest hes been for ages, you can see hes really going for this, i really dont think peters has, how the **** is he so heavy after all that training ?
