What the **** would some random Bulgarian who "grew up behind the Iron Curtain" know about Putin and the situation in Russia now? When Russians are telling you about Russia, you should listen to them, not some random Bulgarian who has probably never even been to the country.

Heavily censored press? No, far from it. You can easily find publications critical of Putin and the authorities. And unlike you, I can actually read these publications and compare them to Western sources. And you know that you can get all the Western media and news channels in Russia right? You can also freely travel abroad. Also, there are several prominent Russian websites devoted specifically to translating articles from the Western press about Russia.

Your math is garbage on so many levels. Povetkin is no heavyweight idol you idiot. He's viewed as a serious contender but that's about it. Moreover, this fight is not politicized the way you think it is.

This fight is a very important event because of the publicity it will generate and because, with a $23 million purse, it represents the first time that a Russian (former Soviet) fighter is able to become rich fighting in Russia. That is a big deal and can help galvanize the Russian boxing industry.

Why the **** is this hard to understand people?

Alexander Povetkin is WILLING TO TAKE ANY TESTS. HE IS WILLING.

HE just want Wladimir to take two additional tests.. one from Russia and one from America.. It's not as if Povetkin said 'I refuse to take tests from Germany'. He's fine with that on the condition Wladimir take ADDITIONAL TESTS..

Povetkin has refused to fight Vlad for years. Vlad will knock him out regardless..................Povetkin is afraid of Vlad..................Atlas hates both Klitschkos and yet he told Povetkin that he can't beat Vlad. Povetkin will get knocked out.

Wow, the Klitschko defence league is out in full force already I see. Wlad could do a **** on their living room floor and they'd praise the colour and texture.

So far the WADA Affiliated National AntiDoping Agency of Russia who are deemed good enough to oversee testing for the every other sport in the country is corrupt and can't be trusted, this entire fight is some elaborate ploy from Russian gangsters to ruin Wlad's career, he shouldn't allow a Russian doctor anywhere near him and Povetkin is ducking.

The way I see it, RUSADA is a WADA approved anti doping agency who oversee the testing for sports events taking place in the country so should do the same for this fight. If Wlad has some belief that this agency is not for for purpose then he should take it up with the World Anti-Doping Agency as that's quite a serious allegation. However, he's obviously within his rights to suggest the testing is carried out by the German agency, and the counter offer from Hryunov that the samples are tested by both agencies seems more than fair. To walk away on a $17million pay day over not being able to use one specific foreign drug testing agency would be very bizarre move and getting towards Manny Pacquiao territory.

Even worst. Pacquaio and Arum could think they might have 'lost' to Floyd so that could have played a huge incentive in regards to drug testing (and vice versa with Floyd demanding it)

Nobody thinks Wladmir will lose to Povetkin, so the ONLY logical reason Wlad is refusing to take additional testing and refusing to use Povetkin's Russian Base agency is ........... he's hiding something.

That one poster was right.. Wlad is hiding more than just glass.

+1. The proposal from Hryunov to have the samples tested by both agencies was his counter offer/compromise and a perfectly fair solution. Klychko hasn't turned down that compromise which is what some people are claiming, we just havent heard a responce yet. I expect we'll hear thats what they've agreed to soon.

If he turn it down, will you admit he's hiding something?

Wlad agreed in 2010 on the testing although he had not to do it.

    He will agree again.

You mean you don't think that it's a conspiracy to allow an evil Russian scientist to inject Wlad with a new type of corrosive acid that will erode his nuts and bolts and melt his internal CPU system?

Cosnidering russian ways of corruptions, and considering how important is Povetkin for some russians, i wouldn't accept too.
I wouldn't be surprised if they would come out with some "positive tests" right after Povetkin get badly knoccked out.
This is just one of the thing Tony Thompson was talking about; without hypocrital "bans" of peds, there wouldn't be the possibility to invent accuse on someone.

Wlad will agree on neutral testing for both fighters!

He is a sportsman of honour.
