Klitschko, Pulev, Ortiz, Wilder - did Wlad ever go on an equally strong run of defences?

You do realize that would only strengthen his legacy, right? The fact that at 41, coming off a loss and over a year out of the ring that he almost stopped the guy that you're touting to go a spectacular run. You obviously don't think things through very much before you post them, do you? Dimwitted buffoon!

    It's all good.

I did see a fair few comments focussing on the likelihood of that run occurring and Joshua winning those fights which I thought missed the point and TBH your comment wasn't really the one I meant to add that reply to.

I'm all for different opinions! It's why I come on the site!

Fair play with Ibragimov, but let's not act like the skillset wasn't there.
Brewster did scrape by Meehan (horribly), but then proceeded to beat 2 guys
that were far better by KO before dropping to Liahkhovich.
Also, lets not forget both Brock and Chambers were in this run as well as a
    fresher version of Tony Thompson.
Anyone can be picked apart if you try hard enough.
At the end of the day, the guys you mentioned as being "better" wins haven't accomplished a lot either

how is near 40 thompspn good?
how is half blind retired brewster good?
how to 37 year old non-active rahman good?

that leaves chambers (middling) and brock (goodness) and sultan ( a decent defence).

    come on!!

The real test for AJ is not if one or two of his next opponents is ranked one or two spots better than Wlad's. The real test is if AJ can hang at the top for 10+ years. I think he has the boxing skill and physical attributes. We'll have to see if he has the determination, iron discipline and mental strength though.
