Nail on the head there. It's OK the likes of WALDO picking on these unskilled chumps who can be out-classed by a jab but elusive guys that get close and throw combos would be a very different matter. Not saying they'd all beat WALDO easily, but you wouldn't see the boring walkovers he's experiencing lately, no chance.

I'd give him a chance against Patterson purely because of size but Ali and Tyson would be WALDO's worst nightmare for different reasons. Ali would and could out=speed him and out-jab him and also out-tough him, WALDO wouldn't hold a single advantage over Ali other than power but Ali's chin negates that anyway. Tyson....forget it. Tyson early KO.

 

Patterson wasn't better than Ingemar Johanson, ffs, he was one of the weakest champs in the history of the division. Either K brother would KO him in a ho-hum fight. ****, Arreola would probably decimate Floyd Patterson. Floyd himself knew he was only holding the title until he couldn't avoid Liston anymore.

What the hell are you talking about? You are brushing Patterson away like he's just another heavyweight. Hell no. Patterson would embarrass the Klit brothers. Maybe you forgot, but Floyd knocked out Archie Moore when Archie was doing very well. Floyd Patterson possessed some abilities we still haven't seen matched today. And the Klit brohters height could be negated by Floyds special punch where he takes off from the ground.

I really like the Klit brothers. I think they fight with an early 1900 style. Very intelligent, they dont like to waste punches, and they do what they can in their power, to win.

But to just come in here as say they would destroy Patterson? I'm sorry but someone had to stick up for Floyds legacy....

 

Yeah he had that plodding, stalker style that worked really well for him. He relied more on precision than pure hand speed .

 

His style doesn't win him many modern fans because he looks like he's standing in concrete but Louis would beat most HWs from the past 40 yrs except for Holmes, Ali and Vitali. Wlad gets his arse kicked by The Brown Bomber though...

I wouldn't say that's accurate. Joe's hands are very fast and probably faster then Wlads, given he is a lighter weight.
But Wlad moves faster which is odd...

You don't think his chin is at least vulnerable for a big puncher like Tyson, Marciano, Dempsey, or Foreman?
Ali is much faster then wlad, has better feet, and he has a much better chin. wlad is taller and he hits harder which wouldn't be a factor because of Ali's amazing chin. he would outpoint him and maybe stop him.

 

Archie Moore was Patterson's size. Patterson was a very weak heavyweight champ, this is common knowledge, you act like you're just hearing it for the first time. This isn't even controversial.

Both Cus and Floyd stayed away from Sonny for as long as they thought they possibly could.

 

Liston would have whooped either K's ass, so would Tyson, so would Ali and Foreman and maybe Frazier and Holmes. Lennox DID whoop his ass, he was well on the way to stopping him when the fight was stopped on cuts. It's pretty obvious too, I dunno why it's not mentioned more in these conversations. The K brothers are very strong champs, but they're far from unbeatable. The current HW field is just ****.
