Mayweather DEFINITELY deserved to lose against Castillo in their first fight. That fight will always be known as an L on that turds record.

Yep. The casinos put up the money and if they want the fight its staying in Vegas. N doubt!!!

The right should happen on the date its got more chance of generating as much revenue as possible. That is in May.

You guys talk tough now. As always, you clowns always end up making excuses. Around rematch time, there will be a number of excuse threads. I want you guys to keep this confidence all the way to the end.

When GGG gets busted up again. Looks like **** again. Falls short again, I don't want to hear excuses. No he lost his luggage and had the flu like against Ouma. No I was in a street fight like against Brook. No he's nothing, those punches were little tinks tinks or I want my opponent to stand still.

We all know you clowns and ggg are going to just present excuses. It's going to be a lame one too. Count on it.

Honorable mention: he let DJ make him look bad because if his performance was too dominant, he wouldn't get the Canelo fight lol

The only one who's lame is you.

    What excuses ?

The people are not stupid, they called it, if its going to the scorecards G will be robbed. Guess what happened ??

One poster even predicted the exact scorecards of the two judges who robbed G. Remember ??

Even Virgil Hunter said G won, I dont think he's fan.

You're in pain, you're mad...because G showed he's elite against Canelo and he's more popular than ever. And this really hurts you hater

 I'm pretty sure I've seen all of GGG's fights, but I never saw this one.

What we're seeing here is a classic case of confirmation bias. Please take a closer look at what Wlad actually said :

"Nobody expected it was going to go the distance," Klitschko said. "I thought Gennady was ahead. But it's pretty much the same question fans are asking when you don't have [a] clear win for one of the fighters, when it goes to points. You can go in either direction because sometimes people have different views."

He stated that first of all "nobody" expected it was going the distance. So in that sense Canelo did better than he or pretty much anybody he talked to thought he would. He had G ahead, but he also stated that it wasn't a "clear win", that "you can go in either direction".

This is different than those who are arguing that it was in fact a "clear win" for Gennady. He's basically saying he (and pretty much "everybody" he talked to) expected Canelo to get stopped, so when you go into a fight with that kind of an expectation, it's no surprise that he favored the fighter who he thought would win by stoppage. That was his expectation going in, he expected G to win, by stoppage, so he's naturally going to be more inclined to have him on points.

It sounds like he was very impressed with Canelo's performance, "shocked" that it went the distance and that G couldn't stop or hurt him like he expected him to.

This is the same feeling that a lot of people had. Canelo did very good, still the rightfull winner should've been GGG. Its the consensus opinion from a lot of people, in or outside the boxing world, and from different backrounds too.

Also Wlad was always a gentleman and an honest guy. Unlike lets say....Bernard Hopkins

Now go dissect Trout's opinion and then Virgil's. Lets see who they thought was the rightfull winner

Well I have no problem with fans or media or fighters scoring it for G. The only problem I have is when fighters act like it was a clear win for Gennady when it wasn't. It was a fight that "could have went either way" depending on what you subjectively prefer : a higher number of, mostly ineffective, landed punches or a lower number of, mostly effective, landed punches. Those that act like G "clearly won" and it's "not debatable" is what I take exception with, not those that thought he won.

Even if Golovkin had knocked out Canelo, they would still say Canelo is a better boxer, Golovkin just has power. Or they would do a 360 and say that Canelo is a has been, or never was elite. You cant win with the haters.

I share your opinion. I think a clear victory is 10-2 type, not even 8-4 because there was close rds that could've swing either way IMO. Whoever saw a clear win for either one needs a pair of glasses or they are heavily biased.

This was a good close fight that needs a repeat as soon as possible.
