Öner stated that he will no longer continue to promote any Heavyweight if Solis loses tonight.

Mr. Klitschko by embarrassment + retirement of Ahmet Döner

    He is a royal ****.

There shouldn't be any issue with the gloves at this point.

Absolutely. This is how Ahmet plays mind games.

Unprofessional wannabe promoter folks. A disgrace for our sport.

solis's coach knows solis is f*cked,if he needs his own gloves and is looking for ways out like that then hes worried about solis's chances.

to me,solis isnt quite thin enough, not quite experienced enough yet,ile be shocked if he is any different to any other klit. opponent.

So let me get this straight. Öner signed a contract where he agrees for K2 to choose the type of gloves. Then one day before the fight they come back to K2 and argue they are used to another type of gloves and demand they can use their Canadian gloves? Because Solis' coach said so????

You have got to be freaking kidding me.

I hope Vitali knocks Solis out cold and ends this flabby disgrace right here, right now. I hope Öner goes bankrupt too, boxing is better off without this scheming and cheating SOB.

Pretty funny to hear Öner saying Boente was crying "there'll be no fight, no money" etc.. I've got sick of hearing that from him.

But yeah, it shouldn't be an issue.

So Solis' trainer was correct in protesting against Klitschko's demand?

Or did Solis sign a contract agreeing to wear whichever gloves TK choose for him?

The gloves thing is an ongoing gimmic for Klitschko opponents. Klichkos signed a deal with grant and use their gloves exclusively, while they promote the events. It would be silly to expect any other gloves to be used. If Oner wanted to pick the gloves, all he had to do was win the organizational rights to the fight and get sponsorship from whatever company chose to offer their gloves to El Gordo de Cubana

Is it me but it seems glove disputes becoming a major issue for fighters going overseas to fight in Europe. Why wait until fight night to decide? Dont' most of these issues get resolve first thing in the contract?
